CLAPP by Helen Chandler 28 May 1990 ------------------------------------------------ I've noticed a rumbling about the Clapp family. Here's mine and if wrong it needs to be shot down and I'd appreciate it very much. Jane Clapp b Nov 1689 in Scituate (no other info) married Samuel Holbrook 15 Dec 2708 in Scituate (son of Capt. Wm. Holbrook), Jane was the daughter of Samuel Clapp b 1641 in Scituate, d. 1666 in same, married Hannah Gill 1666. Thomas Clapp was his father b. 1597 at Dorchester, Eng. and died ca 1684 in Scituate, MA m. ca 1637 to Abigail___ in MA? Father of Thos. was Richard Clapp b. Dorsett Eng. ca 1575 (a guess) no spouse listed. This is sent out in fear and trembling. Most of it came from Deane's Hist. of Scituate and can be very right and very wrong if they were from outside of town. It also was very confusing on this and the Holbrook line. I'd appreciate any help I can get--or maybe this helps somebody else. Thanks. Helen My address is 27206 SW 145 Ave. Naranja, FL 33032. Phone 305/248-8024.
