The Bucklen/Buckland monument, one of those old 6-foot high styles, has chiseled into it J. C. Bucklen, died June 25, 1897 , Age 72. Now this may be that he is entered on the memorial but not buried there. I don't recall if I found a headstone for John or not, but I do have a photo of the monument at Weedsport, NY showing the J.C> Bucklen inscription. Also his father Isaac and mother Sarah are there as well. If we are talking about the same John, his older brother Benjamin Isaac Smith Buckland is my G-G grandfather. The Buckland records that I have all the way back to my 4th G-grandfather, Benjamin Bucklin of Guilford, VT were kept by my grandfather CHAPPELL and given to him by his Aunt Mattie Buckland, who looks to have been a good amateur genealogist in her own time. I have never found any error in the personal family record or any mysteries, in fact quite the opposite is true; I have many old family stories and trivia of this branch of the Buckland tree. I also have an old family Bible that belonged to Benjamin I. S. Bucklen (you will find the name spelled 3 ways, all of our branch reverted to the Buckland spelling). In the Bible is listed; John Calvin Bucklen, Middletown, VT, Sunday Oct. 23, 1825. I will send the little that I have. I had nothing before him until I got information from the book you or Ruby told me about. BOSWORTH.... Of course the BUCKLAND info stops with the Isaac b. Jan. 31 1672. That leaves me with over a hundred years of information needed to get to John Calvin. You can send me the data in any format you desire.... I still use BK5... and PAF... I have a 286-12 at home that runs BK5... I use a 286-16 with 4meg here at my little store. I use Lotus 123 for my books along with many other programs on this setup. Bk5 is just not compatible with this machine running at 0 wait state at 16 mhz. I've tried everything including many discussions with John Steed on his BBS. Do I have your address?
