I have an Elizabeth BRYAN b. 19 Apr 1680, Milford, CT; m. 10 Sep 1698,
New York, NY, John DURAND.  Elizabeth's father Richard BRYAN was born
ca 1645.   Her mother was Mercy WILMOT b. 1648 New Haven, CT.

I would like to find out more about this early BRYAN family.  Any
information would be appreciated.

Dick - I have your Elizabeth BRYAN(T) as the sister of my Hannah. 
I'm not sure of this and recognize the gap in years of birth but
also have the father, Richard, as having married 3 times so it is
possible. What I have is as follows: Hannah BRYAN b. 31 Aug 1654,
m. 20 Nov 1672 to John HARRIMAN (Rev) d. 10 Jan 1690; her father
Richard BRYAN(T) b. Aylesbury, England to 1-Mary PANTRY 2-Mercy
or Mary Wilmot 3- Elizabeth POWELL (wid. of Richard
HOLLINGSWORTH).  His father Alexander BRYAN(T) bap. 9 Sept 1602
Aylesbury, England m. 1631 England to Ann BALDWIN d. 20 Nov 1679
Milford, CT.  His father Thomas BRYAN(T) b. 1575 Aylesbury,
England m. Frances BOWLING.  Does any of this fit what you have?

I just found information that shows your Hannah is a half-sister of my
Elizabeth BRYAN.  The BRYAN family is covered in "Genealogical and
Family History of the State of Conn.", Lewis Historical Publishing,
New York, 1911 [AGLL film no. SW16-0147].
It starts with Thomas BRYAN 1573 Aylesbury, but the quality of the 
film was so poor that most of it was unreadable.  I was able to
decipher the 13 children of Richard, with Hannah the third child and
Elizabeth, the first child of Richard and Mercy WILMOT, as number 12.
My information on Elizabeth was obtained from an article in a 1971
issue of NEHGR "Ancestry of Dr. John Durand 1665-1727, of Derby, 
Conn."
Could you advise your source or send me what information you have?
