Hannah BIRD married John NORTH before 1640 (Torrey, New England
Marriages Prior to 1700, p538) (source available at many libraries)
She is dau. of Thomas BIRD (Dexter North, John North of Famington,
Connecticut, and His Descendants, p4; Connecticut Biography, Vol 1, p109) 
(North is at Cinncinati Public Library and also on microfiche)
  She had bros. Joseph and James who both married, and also a sister who 
married ____ SCOTT (Isaac Bird, Genealogical Sketch of the Bird Family 
Having Its Origin in Hartford, Conn., p 21) (available on microfiche at Ft. 
Worth, TX, Public Library)
  Mary NORTH was twin of Samuel and probably was b. in Ipswich, MA, in 
either 1643 or 1645, because their father did not sell land in Ipswich till 
1646.  Mary m. 10 or 30 March 1675, John SEARLES.  They removed to 
Northampton, MA, and had James, Sarah, Nathaniel and Lydia (North, pp 6, 
10, 11)
  None of the above indicate name of Hannah's mother or where Thomas BIRD 
and Hannah came from.
  Am still looking for more information.  I descend from John and Hannah 
(BIRD) NORTH thru their sons Samuel and Thomas.  Stanley in Oklahoma City

Sorry to butt in, but. . .

 LO> across a note I copied off of Prodigy 5/27/92 from John Henderson
 LO> (SMPW55A) WHO quoted a Bird genealogy from Hugh LeBIRD 1210. He says
 LO> "...Dorthy Bird LORDS bro. Thomas BIRD d- in Hartford CT 10Aug 1662
 LO> leaving sons....also left two daughters Mary Bird NORTH and Hannah

Would be *very* interested in learning more on above, as I too am
descendant of Thomas and Dorothy (BIRD) LORD.  Drusilla Sheldon on
this echo is also a descendant.

What other CT lines do you tie into?  I have LEE, DARROW, ROGERS,
HYDE, LORD, WAY, ALLEN, SAVELL, and BROWNE all in the New London
co. area, among others.  STEVENS, LESTER, HASTINGS, PEACH, PEARCE,
BOWDEN, DEVEREUX and others in CT and MA.

  Seen your message on Bird of CT. I have Thomas
Bird (emigrant) in my lineage. Thomas Bird was 
born about 1590 in Yorkshire England. His daughter
Hannah m1 Edmond Scott and m2 to my John North
(emigrant) c1640 at Ipswich MA.
  My second ref pg328 has a section on Dorthy Bird
and her husband Thomas Lord. Not my lineage.
  Very interested in exchanging information on these
families.
