BIENVENU in NY

Our main interest in finding information about Edwin Quertier
BIENVENU in the Mt Vernon NY area is that he represents the only
positive information we have of one of our line of BIENVENU's to make
it to the USA from the Channel Islands (there are several BIENVENU/E
lines in the US and Canada but we have not linked to any of these).
To reiterate a little ... Edwin Quertier BIENVENU, b. 31 Oct 1851 in
St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands.  Edwin travelled to
Australia and N.Z. c.1854.  ... he m. to Laura HALLOCK, dau. of
Landford HALLOCK, on 20 May 1885 in Mt. Vernon.  They had a son b. 9
Nov 1888 in Mt. Vernon.  Edwin was a clerk of the Board of Education
presumably at Mt. Vernon for 25 years.  He d. at the Hotel Ansonia,
Asbury Park, New Jersey on 24 Aug 1923 and was bur. at Mt. Vernon.
This data comes from reports in the newspapers from Guernsey but no
"son's" name.

We would like to know if this "son" lived etc. and is there an extant line 
of BIENVENU's, related to us, living in the US today?

We seek likely places to find if the "Son" or other children lived and the 
death date of Edwin's wife.  If anyone had access to census or BDM indexes 
of the area it "may" (?) not be difficult to follow the movement of the 
family.
