Ball by Ed Ash Mon Apr 27 1992 ------------------------------- -=> Quoting Heather Streeter to All <=- HS> Need parents of Benjamin Ball of Massachusetts area. He married HS> Hannah Wright, they had a son Thomas Ball b. 08 16 1714 and d. 1760 According to my records, Benjamin BALL, of Brookfield, MA m. Jerusha WOODBURY. Benjamin's father was Thomas BALL, of Framingham, MA. Thomas married Hannah WRIGHT.They descend from John BALL, of Watertown, MA.I descend from Benjamin's son, Silas BALL, b 1775 in Leverett, MA. Several references: 1. "The descendants of John BALL of Watertown, MA 1630-1635", Frank Warren 2. "Amherst", by Carp. Also, there is a BALL Family Organization which publishes "BALL BEGINNINGS". It has been very helpful to me. I don't have copies of the 2 references but I have them on order at our local LDS Library. I suspect we are cousins. I have located quite a few cousins through "BALL BEGINNINGS". Let me know your BALL connections and we can exchange some info. Dorchester, Ma., 9 Feb. 1678 and married Mary BREWER. If this is the one you are discussing I would love to have any information that you have on his parents and also his wife. I descend through his son Daniel and have not been able to find anything further on Benjamin. Of course at times I put some on a back burner and continue with the ones I can find. Susan, So. There was a genealogy "study" done many, many years back about the Ball family (mother of George Washington). This had the progitor of the family as a William Ball who had sons that arrived in America and founded the Ball families in CT, NJ, and VA. This is what I thought you were referring to.
