Mother (maiden name Annis) was born in Wisc. as was her father, James, but from there back they are from the East. James's father, was Harvey, b. VT, son of Lewis b. NY, son of James b. Andover, 1774, son of James b. Bradford, MA 1743, son of John, b. 1700, Newbury, son of Abraham, b 1668, Newbury, d. Haverhill (next door to NH) and his father was Curmac, "Charles" Annis of Enniskillen, Ireland b 1638. He was the Grand daddy of them all. Curmac was a protestant in Enniskillen and came over with a bunch of lads. He is listed as a fisherman, I believe. He lived and was married in Hampton--part of MA once but also NH--came over in 1666.
