You might have noticed by the date that I didn't weigh in on Friday, it was on, Saturday. This is due to heavy snowfall on Thursday night and Friday morning in my area. But, I did go at my scheduled time and the Weight Watchers building was CLOSED. Anyway I just decided to go on Saturday.
When I went on Saturday at noon, I had drank water and had eaten out on Friday so I don't know if this had anything to do with my .06 weight loss but any weight loss is accepted..
Well this week's assignment was to bring in labels from our favorite foods. The Nutritional information off the side of our favorite foods and well, I er forgot... But luckily we had a great leader and she forsaw the forgetfulness of EVERYONE so she brought in labels from what she eats.
She brought in "Chicken Herb" instant potatoes and told us how she modified the instructions on the box to maximize her points. It was a great idea and I went and got some of those potatoes.
She also gave us some pointers on how to maximize points for items we eat more than one serving. For instance if you eat two servings of something double the points, fat and fiber and figure the points because you might save yourself a point here or there.
She also told us about an Angel food cake she buys from "Food Lion" that is made with Whole Wheat Flour and has 3 grams of fiber.
So the moral of this weeks meeting is to combine points if you eat more than 1 serving of any item and to modify ingredients on the boxes if you can to maximze your points.
