The keel and the underside of the keel trunk. The "bomb bay" doors are gone, but some clues remain as to how replacements could be fitted (a future subject). Ideally, we would be removing the keel from the boat, so it could be properly restored. That will have to wait for now. The primary objective is to get the boat ready to be dropped on the trailer in the next 48 hours. |

Here is the underside of the keel winch area. The tape patches cover the four mounting holes from the old winch. The tape's there temporarily, just to keep things from dripping out from above where the new surface for the replacement winch was laid down, and those old holes were filled in.. |
