Most people think of bisexuals as people who want to have sex with both men and women. I won't argue with that... many people do have a sexual attraction toward both men and women. But being bisexual isn't always about sex. I am what is considered ambisexual. A person's physical gender is as unimportant to me as their hair color, eye color, or skin color. What a person looks like has NOTHING to with how I feel about them... the shape of the reproductive organs is just appearance.
Some people ask me if I was upset when my daughter told me she was a lesbian. I was a bit shaken up by the way I was told... a phone call at work from my hysterical daughter crying because Kelli's mother had gone balistic after Kelli told her about their relationship... I do feel that I should have been told something that important in a bit more relaxed manner, but the information itself didn't upset me. They obviously had a strong bond... I thought it was friendship, but it was no real shock that it was more than that. She's happy, thats all that matters to me... and all that ever will matter to me. I feel sorry for the people who ask me if I am upset about my daughter being a lesbian...and if they have children, I feel sorry for the children. These are people who WILL be upset if their child is gay, bi or lesbian. WHO CARES! As long as my daughters are happy and fulfilled that is all that matters to me. Kelli and Rachel will be celebrating their 8th aniversary this fall... that's pretty damn impressive for highschool sweethearts
