HONG KONG
I've been to Hong Kong twice (well 3 times if you count 1982).  I was there in 1997 with Dave and Gloria for a 4-day stop-over from our trip to Japan, and again in 2001 with my mom.

I have an aunt from my mom's side and an uncle from my dad's side living there as well as some friends who have moved there to work so I have some people to hang out with when I visit.  My times spent there consists mainly of drinking until the wee hours of the night and sweating profusely because of the heat and humidity...great, isn't it?

Hong Kong is definately not a town.  Though much smaller than Tokyo, the population is a lot denser here, and everywhere you go, just look up and you'll see this sight.
Great view of Hong Kong from Tsim Sha Tsui.

A lot of people believe that most people from Hong Kong are rich, mainly because it seems that the recent immigrants from there are all driving BMWs over here.  As this photo shows, that's not true.  Most Hong Kongers are middle class and live in government-subsidised housing because the housing costs in Hong Kong are amongst the most highest in the world.

A neighbourhood in Mongkok, around where my mom grew up.
Not all of Hong Kong is densely populated.  Just outside of the city lies Lantau Island, where they've constructed a giant Buddha, this is the view from that Buddha.
