So, in May, 2001, I embarked on a trip of a lifetime, a trip to the 'motherland'.
I visited two cities in China, first Xi'an, then Beijing. Xi'an is located in central China and was the her first capital. The most famous thing about Xi'an are the Terra Cotta Soldiers, but I discovered there was a little bit more to this city than that. Beijing, as you may already know is China's modern capital, this huge city is home to countless historical sites, there are so many that I eventually took them for granted near the end of my trip.
