Talking in Shul In order to reduce the noise coming from within the sanctuary and to set an example for our children, we encourage all adults to refrain from carrying on conversation during the service. Times when talking is particularly distracting and rude is during Torah reading and when others have yet to finish the Amidah and conversations from those who have already finished the Amidah is all around. The time when talking is at its loudest is after Kedushah of Musaf. Please have respect for those around you and for the sanctity of the sanctuary. Noise in the Shul In an effort to reduce the noise and distractions from the hallways, parents are asked to remind their children that they are welcome to daven with us or to go the age-appropriate Shabbos groups that begin at 10 am each Shabbos morning. Food in the Shul Parents are asked to closely watch their children during Kiddush. In order to maintain appropriate standards of cleanliness, for the shul and the many schools that use our building during the week, no food or drink should leave the Social Hall. Children's safety at play In the interest of safety, parents are asked to tell their children that there is to be no ball playing against the walls of the building or on the steps of the shul or in the streets. Butcherie Receipts The Butcherie donates a percentage of purchases back to our shul. Please remember to have your Butcherie receipts stamped for Beth El, and to return them to the shul office. Donations Donation pledges may be sent in by e-mail at any time. Donations may be made to many funds in the shul, including the Chesed Fund, Torah Fund, Tzedakah Fund, Youth Fund, Library Fund, Adult Education Fund, the Rabbi Abraham Koolyk Memorial Fund, or may be made to purchase Chumashim, Siddurim or Machzorim, or may be used to send cards for various occassions. Donations may also be made to the Rae and Joseph Gann Beth El Preschool and to the Beth El Community Hebrew School. Crime Watch If you notice any suspicious activity around the shul when you drive or walk by, please notify the police.
