Steph began to sing in choirs at the age of 7, and since then, she simply can't get enough!  Her past choirs have included the Schola Cantorum choirs (Junior - Chamber) and the Cantilon Chamber Choir. Stephanie has studied voice lessons with Jennifer Beck, Ardelle Ries, Ryan Sigurdson, Judith Richardson, and recently completed Music Theory Rudiments 2 through the Royal Conservatory.  Stephanie is currently pursuing a bachelor of music degree at the Augustana Faculty in Camrose.

In the past few years, Steph has developed a love for drama and musical theatre.  Some of her favourite performances have been
A Christmas Carol (Citadel Theatre), Footloose (Eastglen Theatre Co.), Narcissus (Theatre Network), Place Title Here (Theatre Network) and Little Shop of Horrors (Eastglen Theatre Co.).

As the alto of Con Fuoco, Steph's low notes are essential for the group's unique sound. She has gained relative pitch throughout her vocal training and singing. Recently, Steph arranged an a cappella version of a blues tune for the ensemble and hopes to make this a regular hobby.

Stephanie not only enjoys a cappella choral music, but has recently been experimenting with folk music and decided that she likes it very much.  Steph hopes to study folk music at the Sibelius Academy of Music in Helsinki, Finland.

When she's not singing with these hilarious girls, Steph can be found  oggling over Scandinavian paraphanalia, playing the saw, digging for new music, or organizing her daytimer.

Steph enjoys Con Fuoco because of its diverse repertoire and personalities, and she loves the girls she sings with - and couldn't think of any better fellow acapella loving women to sing with.
