| I was never a film fan, sure I went to the cinema, but didnt really sit and watch what was happening. I was your typical viewer. Go in, eat popcorn, come out, go home. Thats it. Id always enjoyed writing, getting good grades in English lessons at school, but never thought Id continue writing beyond higher education. That all changed in 2001. Stu started working at the same company I was at. One lunch break over a game of pool he said Do you like films? Me being me simply said Nope and the conversation ended. Its at this point things get a little hazy. I cant remember exactly how he did it but I slowly became interested in films. I reckon hypnosis had a part to play. And then one day he said that there was a project he was working on and needed someone with a knowledge of religion, however basic. So I was invited to help out with Conflict, and eventually helped out with the writing. When Stuart pitched the idea of starting Conflict Scripts I jumped at it, I saw the lights of Hollywood in my eyes (we had been drinking). While the dream is alive still reality kicked in and now I just enjoy writing. And, of course watching films. My education on them still continues to this day but with Stu as a teacher Im gonna be learning for a long time!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ben's affiliation with Conflict Scripts goes back as far as Conflict Scripts itself. As one of the initial screenwriters he, along with Stuart Evans, helped build the website and set the foundations for CS to prosper.
