Confederate Pride

Confederate Pride is here to teach people of the true history behind the Confederate cause, and to try to put to rest the idea that anyone who proudly displays a Confederate flag is "racist".

The flags of the Confederate States of America were very important and a matter of great pride to those citizens living in the Confederacy. They are also a matter of great pride for their descendants as part of their heritage and history.
                                                            -- Winston Churchill

Every other group of people in the United States of America can proudly display symbols of their heritage without worrying about seeming "racist" or being harassed, yet Southern Americans are not afforded that luxury. Why? The main reason is that the victor in a war always writes it's history, and in an attempt to make the Union seem noble in the War Between the States, they have vilified the Confederacy. Please take a few moments out of your day to learn the truth!

Included on Confederate Pride is the Confederate Constitution, quotes, articles on secession and slavery, articles about the people in the war - including President Lincoln and Generals Lee and Grant, articles about real events that took place during the war, and much, much more!

Confederate Pride Heritage Updates

20 Feb - Site News: Confederate Pride is undergoing a site-wide revamp, and during this time some pages may be unavailable. I'm working to make sure that all pages are back up as soon as possible, so please bear with me. I'm also hoping to move Confederate Pride to a domain! If you're interested in helping, please email me!

19 Feb - Heritage Violation: New York Senator Hillary Clinton has asked the state of South Carolina to remove the Confederate Naval Jack from atop the state house, stating that "America should be united under one flag during this time of war". Please contact South Carolina representatives and let them know you support the flag as a symbol of the South's heritage!

You may contact Senators Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham via their Senate webpages. You may also contact Governor Mark Sanford via the Governor's website.

Feel free to leave a comment on the guestbook, and to visit our chat room and forum. Any posts/comments deemed inappropriate will be deleted, and the poster may be banned.

Confederate Pride has nothing to do with race!
Heritage NOT hate!

Please note that hatred from groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and the Aryan Nation, as well as the NAACP, will not be tolerated anywhere on the Confederate Pride website! Race had very little to do with the War Between the States, as mentioned in articles throughout the site, and focusing on race only reinforces, for some people, the stereotype that Southerners are "bigoted people".
