Stonewall Jackson was a great Christian man and a very brave Confederate General. He cared very deeply about the salvation of those around him, including his relatives, soldiers, and black slave community. He had a Sunday School built in Lexington, Virginia for the slaves where he taught the Bible on Sunday afternoons. Stonewall was a man of dedicated diligent prayer and Bible study. After studying many different demoninations and traditions, including the Roman Catholic church, he came to the conclusion that the Presbyterians were the most Scripturally accurate.
