INDENTURE OF JOHN CONE FROM JOHN CROCKET JULY 13TH 1810

This Indenture made the 28th day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and nine between John Crocket of the county of Robertson and State of Tenneesee of the one part & John Cone of the State and County aforesaid of the other part withnefseth that the said John Crocket for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in  hand paid the receipt where of is herby acknowledged hath and by therein ____________ _________  __________ & grant bargain sell alien _____________ convey and __________  ____________ the said John Cone his heirs and afsigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and sixty two acres be the same more or lefs lying and being in Robertson County on the Beaver Dam Creek of Sulpher fork Beginning at a Dogwood and Gum running thence west fifty one poles to a hickory gum and Dogwood thence North Seventy poles to a black oak thence East twenty three poles to a hickory thence North one hundred and fifty six poles to _________ [Brickens] lane thence west with said line one hundred and fifty one poles to the Beginning.  Being a tract of land granted by the State of North Carolina with all and singulare the woods waters waterways profits com__________ hereditaments appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging to appeartaining and the __________  ______________  ___________  and __________ there of and the state right title __________ property claim and demand of him the said Crocket to either in law or equity to have and to hold the sd John Cone his heirs administrators the above mentioned that of land against all and every person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In withnefs where of the said John Crocket have hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date above written
