Using census records, birth certificates, Bible and church records, marriage and death certificates, obituaries, etc.  Whenever you stumble upon entire trees you must consider the source suspect and do your own investigation of the facts.  If more researchers did this there would be so much less misinformation circulating in this ever expanding genealogical community!  We want to promote responsible research reporting practice and we encourage you to do so also.

Also, when we receive source information to be posted on the site, we do our best to insure that that the person who actually did the hard work of transcribing/scanning the information is credited. However, this is not always possible due to the wonderful free exchange of information that so frequently occurs between fellow genealogists.  It is our sincerely hope that if you find information posted here which is incorrectly credited, that you will immediately take a moment to email us (there is a link to email on every page within this site) to draw our attention to the error so that we may correct it ASAP.  Please be aware that changes make take several days to be made because of circumstances beyond our control (like all the electrical storms the Northeast has been experiencing in June 1998). If you submit a request for a correction, rest assured you will be notified via email when the correction has been posted.  If you do not hear from us within seven days, please, please email us again.
