Concord Missionary Baptist Church Minutes

Isaiah Cone having been born in 1771 in Halifax, Martin County, NC on this Sabbath 25th Sept. 1842 was admis------- under the watch care of this Church; Concord Missionary Baptist Church at Lovett, Madison County, Fla. This info is recorded from the Minute Book from 1841-1868 and abstracted by George W. Cason of Madison Co. Fla.

This is a very beautiful church in a serene section of North Madison County Fla is still very active in the community. Soon after the Church was founded, they started a cemetery on the grounds and many of the citizens of the community have relatives buried there. We have searched the cemetery for the grave of Isaiah but were unable to locate his grave there. However, we did find the grave of his grand-daughter, Emily C. Cone 1873-1940, her husband L. Clarence Wilson and their daughter Gertrude Wilson 1898-1900.
