This list started from the 911 MURDERS thread on
alt.autos.porsche. Two 911s are involved in a crash scene in the
Robin Williams movie "What Dreams May Come". A similar
discussion erupted on PorscheList (now RennList) and
because I have nothing better to do ;-) I compiled both
discussions. And since I need the practice, I submit them here. I
attributed as many of the people as I could find. If you don't
want attribution, email me and I'll remove it. If there are any errors
then I apologize as I have not seen all of these. Additional information
and new submissions are welcome. See bottom for submission
guidelines.

The movie is considered one of the best films about baseball and was

anything else, because he already drives his Porsche. The car is only shown
once, when Nuke gets pulled into the major leagues and is packing the car to
leave. I don't recall specifics, but I seem to remember a whaletale and
flared fenders with the black stone guards. I am guessing that it was just a
normal coupe with the turbo look option. (I believe it is only seen from the

"Nine Months" - Hugh Grant is driving a 911 that he wrecks piece by piece
with bad driving :Jeff
Hugh Grant wrecks his red 911 Cabrio upon finding out that his wife is
pregnant. It looks like it's really messed up, but if you look closely all
that is wrong is the fact that it's dirty and the mirror hanging on the
wiring as if it were broken. Not a scratch on it. He trades it for a Ford
Explorer early in the movie. :( C.Patterson

the ice cream up and out of the car, lands "SPLOT" in the middle of the road and keeps on driving. Someone
says, "Where's Jack".THE END.: Craig C. Laughlin
911 Turbo (930)
"A Civil Action" - Black 911 Targa. John Travolta movie where he is a Lawyer

930 over the Belin Wall using a ramp.: Lance Johnson
The movie "the Soldier" has the best Porsche sequence I have ever seen.
Some pretty good skiing too. Regards, Lance
The car in the movie was intended to be a 1994 C2 turbo 3.6. Actually,
there were several cars used in the movie. In the opening scenes of the
movie, the car driving over the bridge is a 1993 C2 turbo with the Turbo 3.6
wheels (you can tell because the brake calipers on the closeups are black
where the 3.6 Turbo had red calipers). Later in the movie (the closing
scenes) that is actually a 1994 3.6 Turbo. The script on the trunk is a dead
give-away, but the car used in the stunts (during the shooting) is missing
the Porsche(TM) crests impressed on the headrests. Again another imposter. The
Bottom line is that the car was INTENDED to be a 1994 Turbo 3.6 :Steven
Ambrose
914
"Corvette Summer" - red 914, Mark Hamill, Annie Potts. In bicycle chase scene right
after he releases from the motorhome. (The next scene it is a pickup truck).:drb

into the sporting goods store to buy a (BB) gun :BRIYOUNG
924
"Arthur" - In one scene where he's out on a race track, isn't he driving a
white 951??, Dudley Moore :Alex L
Someone made a reference to the movie Arthur, saying that Arthur's on a
racetrack with a 951. This movie came out in 1980, made in 1979. He can
only be driving a 924 Turbo or a 924 Carrera. In any case, it's some
version of a 924, not a 944.
: scott
Several people have pointed out that the movie came out in 1981 and the
model cannot be a 951. Through more research I believe the car may be a duplicate,
if not the original, of the Holbert 924GTP (or GTR?). Any further information
regarding this car's history (and pictures!) would be greatly appreciated.
Also, the car is black ;-)(drb).
"Deal of the Century" - 924, Chevy Chase, Sigourney Weaver, and Gregory
Hines.
Hines's 924 gets trashed by a guy in a flamed out Nova, and then Hines
torches the Nova with a flamethrower. "Just a little touch-up for ya!" :Mike
Smith. No, the other one.
"Jackie Brown" - 931 (but may be a 924 NA) in the parking lot scene where Bridget Fonda is shot.
The car has it's removable roof up, and is kind of a faded yellow color.:Micah
928
"Banzai Runner" - 928, white, Dean Stockwell, John Shepherd. Opening Credits

944
"Backdraft" - early 944, light blue or white. In the beginning of the movie the guy is
blown from his front door and lands in the windshield:Johnf
The coroner describes it as an '87 "Porsch" but it is clearly an early
model due to the three spoke steering wheel and non-flush windshield.:drb
"Bounce" - early 944. You'll see it drive by for
a split second right after the run-in with the dog at the strip mall. Yes,
it is a chic flick, but guys, it's worth it when there is a 944 ;): Robert Hohn
"Critters" - 944 (or was it a 924S?), a bad 80's horror film: C.Patterson
"Devils Advocate" - Black 944 :Rob H, PCGB
"The Matrix" - 944 They were driving down a street going to the "Oracle", it was
parked on the street. It was a dark color with "Fuch" wheels. :David Ganapol (The 944 in the Matrix is gold:Rich)
"Sixteen Candles" - 944, Molly Ringwald, her love interest has a nice 83,
red :John P
It is identified as a stickshift car in the garage. That is how Anthony
Michael Hall gets the Rolls. But, at the end when the love interest is
pulling away with Mollie Ringwald you can identify it as an automatic as he
pulls back to put it into drive rather than pushing it up and left for first
gear.:Jeff

Seinfield - Black 924s,just before Jerry goes to the hospital to talk to
the dermatolagist :DirtXpert
Seinfield - 911 red? Looks to be an early car, maybe an RS (fiber glass rear bumper)
Its in the episode where Jerry steals the Marble Rye from the old lady
and then is trying to throw it up to George who is in Susan's parent's
apartment. Look for it just as Jerry crosses the street with the rye.: joe
Silk Stockings - 986, zenith blue, Miami Beach detectives:John B (or a 996
convertible:Clark Archer)
"Wiseguy" - Guards Red 944 (it might have been a 951) the first season, 1987 (the "Steelgrave"
episodes),Ken Wahl.:Paul B.
The car is given to undercover cop Vinnie Terranova as a gift from crime boss Steelgrave who gives him
the car by tossing him the keys. The red 944 appears in several episodes. In
one scene, as Vinnie is reporting to his police boss, he says "You should
see the nice german ride that the guy gave me",
The best shot of the car that I can recall is when Vinnie pulls up to a phone
booth at night. The full length of the driver's side of the car fills the TV
screen as Vinnie pulls up, parks, and gets out. He stands beside it through
the scene as he's talking.
X-files (TV show): Several episodes have a Black 944 NA in background
shots. Can't seem to think of the names of any of the episodes off hand, but I
would guess that the car belongs to someone who works on the show. -Tim
McGaughey (one is the Zombie episode, drb)

by the Harper, wearing a Porsche T shirt under his denim shirt.:Craig

it's the prototype showcar from Road and Track Magazine.:RON
Seinfield - in another episode when jerry goes to buy a new saab 900 at the dealership,
george goes to the room where the candy machine is and there is a picture of a 944 turbo or 944 S on the wall.:Derek V
Seinfield - There is a 993 picture magnet (maybe a decal but I think a
picture magnet) on the refrigerator. Haven't seen the show for awhile but I
think it's a red or pink coupe. :Mark
Disputed: WAGs (unconfirmed):
The video that came out about one year ago with Jason Priestly..."Long
Island something....He drives a green speedster.: Lorraine Boerner
I saw a movie on TV late at night once but don't remember the name, a guy
drives a white 356 Speedster into the woods as he escapes civilization and
leaves it there, driver's door open and all, through the winter! :Jonb442
I remember seeing a movie about 5 years ago about a guy whos dream car is a 911cab,
