Why should Gatesville be stopped?

From the moment each nation enters one of the Pacific regions for the first time, it is free from external control, and each nation’s owner knows that. If that nation’s owner so chooses, they can stay sovereign until that nation ceases to exist. However, there are thousands of nations who chose not to stay sovereign, because they want to explore the place called the World Assembly. The WA is 100% optional  for each and every nation, and each and every nation may resign from the WA at a moment’s notice.

Gatesville believes that the only way to create sovereignty is to destroy the WA. This job will do the trick, however it is a very violent way of doing so. If they are so adamant on making nations sovereign, why don’t they just begin a campaign to urge nations to not join the WA?

I’m not going to pretend like Concosia is 100% pro-sovereignty. We’re not. But we do believe that there are other ways of achieving sovereignty that won’t ruin the entire simulation for the thousands of nations who don’t mind compromising their sovereignty for new ideas and an intriguing part of the simulation. In fact, if these nations are being forced out of the WA, isn’t Gatesville infringing on their sovereignty  just as much as the WA?

Gatesville knows its plan isn't foolproof. A while ago, a nation in Gatesville started asking questions about their plan. After it pointed out some flaws, one of Gatesville's trusted members told him to leave Gatesville, and proceeded to call him a "son of a bitch." After this nation did leave, Gatesville's founder himself, Gates, posted that if he had not left, he would have been booted anyways. Most regions would try to clarify their plan, and encourage the nation to see the other side of it. Gatesville did the absolute opposite and even began name-calling.

Additionally, though Gatesville claims to only defend, they are closet invaders. They have invaded the helpless region of Lorien twice, Concosia itself once, and recently very quietly assisted in an invasion of Lazarus. While most of their military was "tied up" they sent out a group of Commandos to assist in this invasion. It's no secret that Gatesville has these "Commandos" in their military. Before joining this seemingly defender region, ask yourself why they would even need this top-secret Commando unit if they only defend?

Finally, don't be deceived by Gatesville's long list of "victories." They announce these victories on the grounds that they voted that direction, though every last one of them was won by a margin greater than Gatesville's influence. Gatesville is the laughingstock of the WA community, and many people would like nothing more than for them to be stopped.

Gatesville is slowly destroying NationStates for thousands of nations, without even realizing it. Concosia was created to stop them from doing this.

Gatesville will fall. It will be no easy task, but because of Concosia, more nations and regions are seeing Gatesville’s true goal, and because of this, Gatesville is getting weaker each and every day.
