Stuffed Cabbage
This recipe is a version of my friend Lyuda's Russian recipe. We love it because its easy to substitute soy beef and noone ever knows!
1 medium cabbage head
2 cups cooked rice
1 tbls italian seasoning
2 tbls oil
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 lb ground beef or imitation beef
1 green pepper, diced
1 can tomatoe diced
Heat oil in skillet, cook onion in oil tiull clear, add beef and green pepper, cook till done. Stir in seasoning. Remove from heat, let cool.
Seperate cabbage
leaves and clean.
Mix beef mixture with rice in bowl.
Lay some of the mixture onto the end of one cabbage leaf and roll cabbage into
rolled pockets.
Put stuffed pockets into a pan, cover with diced tomatoe sauce, cover and cook
on low for 30 minutes.
