Wormhole

The ten-year long mission to find the source of the signal was underway. Thirteen years before, both SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) and NASA had received a radio signal from outside the known galaxy. They continued to receive an average of 13 radio signals per day for the next 8 months. On September 26, 2013, the radio signals stopped coming. Just two weeks after the signals stopped coming, they intercepted intense X-ray signals from approximately the same estimated location. The signals seemed to be coming in a pattern, and the young NASA scientist David ?Spike? Young was assigned the job of decoding the message.
He got to choose the crew and technicians for the job from anywhere he wanted. The 28 year-old rookie from Cal-Tech was made Commander of project Centaur.
The crew worked day and night to help Spike decode the message; and on December 7, 2014, the declared to President Jenna McArthur that they had decoded the X-ray message.
At a world-wide press conference in Siam, Spike presented this to the world:
?We have spent the last 5 and a half months on this
project. Myself and my team of technicians, computer analysts, and NASA scientist have decoded what we believe to be an alien X-ray transmission. The message reads, ?Wormhole, 92 degrees, 45 parsecs, 32 degrees.? We have come to the conclusion that this is the coordinate location of these transmissions?
Spike had an eerie feeling about chasing after these messages. He had warned the president that chasing after these things could make them angry and start an intergalactic war.
?Listen Spike, if responding to these messages could make them mad and start a war, that?s probably what they wanted when they sent the message.?

Captain Doug Small flipped the switch for the cryo-sleep.
?The officers are now in cryo-sleep, Houston.?
?Roger that, Falcon; and good luck.?
A low rumble came from the framework around the huge cargo ship. The WSO(World Space Organization) had named it the Falcon. The ship carried 3,000 multi-person tents. Also on board were 7,000 spacesuits 12,800 rapid-fire guns, 70 tanks, 217 high speed fighter jets, 7 stealth bomber planes, and 15 nuclear warheads. So under any circumstances, the WSO was going to be able to defend its troops.
Selected to go on the mission were the top 30,000 Pilots, officers, and astronauts each country had. Also, the top security advisers, computer technicians and mechanical engineers as well.
Armies and civilians from the countries selected to go on the mission were there to watch the falcon into flight.
The falcon actually had three ships that would dock together in space. One, the largest cargo ship, holding the weapons, ammunition, and extra fuel. Second, the crew ship, where the 15,000 troops were encased in cryo-sleep chambers for ten years, then would be reanimated and sent out to search for the origin of the messages. Third, the space station and docking bay. This is where the nuclear warheads, if needed, would be fired from or put on a carrier ship with a fighter jet or a stealth that would be sent down to the planet. It also has a fully functional space station with 40 artificially intelligent robots running it while the crew sleeps away its journey. It has a 10-meter radio telescope, 2 12-meter X-ray telescopes, one 7-meter infrared telescope, and 2 10-meter optical telescopes.
The first ship to be launched, the space station and docking bay would be launched first, so that if the other two were too heavy to reach escape velocity, we could at least still receive and send signals to and from the message origin.
The docking bay ship, nicknamed ?The Beak?, fired up its first fuel cell. Moments later, the second cell was fired and issued a huge column of smoke and flames from the bottom of the shuttle. Then the countdown started.
?And Salute!? The American Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, and Coast Guard Leaders ordered their troops. With one giant swooping gesture, 130,000 troops whipped a white gloved hand to the brim of their hat. The same happened with all the other military forces of Russia, Germany, France, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Israel, Egypt, Great Britain, China, Japan, and many other world militia.
?3-2-1-Blast off.? The microphone from the tower in Houston Texas blared.
One loud rumble came out of the fuel tanks in the shuttle and it broke free of the scaffolding that had surrounded it for the last 84 hours. The Beak climbed and climbed until it could no longer be seen by the 2.3 million people who had come to see the ships take off; and within 48 hours, the three ships were all in space and docked together to become the WSO Falcon, the first ever world space project. On June 3, 2017, the WSO Falcon glided gracefully through space in search of 92 degrees, 45 parsecs, 32 degrees.

With a crackling of ice melting and the loud clang of the unlocking compartments, 30,000 men and women awoke from a ten-year cryo-sleep. Many of them were temporarily blind, either because of the sudden exposure to light after ten years, or their eyelashes were frozen together. Fortunately though, there were no deaths due to cryo-sleep.
There was an intense rush to get a view through the window. What the officers and troops saw made their mouths go dry. The Falcon was flying directly toward a black hole.
From the back of the group came a chuckling laugh.
?Attennnnnnntion!? Captain Doug Small barked. Over 20 other attentions were yelled out in various languages. I one solid knock, the whole fleet came to attention, but the laughter continued. Captain Small worked his way through the ranks to one of the back rows. He found a young man slouched over with his hand over his mouth and a smile from ear to ear, looking out the window.
?Did you not hear me give an order!? Captain small yelled
?Oh yeah, I heard it. They probably heard it back in the Milky Way!? He laughed at his own joke.
?Just who do you think you are? Because I know that you are just a bacteria that feeds on the mold, that grows on pond scum.?
?You want to know who I am?? the young man giggled, ?My name is Spike Young, I?m the Commander in Chief of this mission.?
At the word ?Commander? Captain Small snapped to attention and saluted.
?And that?s Mister pond scum to you. At ease captain.?
There was a low rumble of muffled laughter that echoed through the American troops.
?You?re all at ease.? Spike ordered. The command was echoed throughout the entire hull of the cryo-sleep chamber in all different languages.
?Sir, what are we going to do about this black hole situation sir?? Captain Small asked.
?First of all,? Spike said, ?forget the ?sir?, I?m not an officer, and second of all, we aren?t going to do anything. This is just what we want. Wormhole. Why didn?t I think of it before? We just fly right through the hole at maximum speed, and we will shoot out the other side at the home of the messages!?
?I understand Sss-, I understand? Small said.
Captain Small and Spike made their way to the beak.
?Mr. Young, sir, we are initiating booster engines. Approximate time to wormhole, 38 minutes.? The electronic voice came from one of the robots.
?Thank you? Spike said. ?You better go tell the fleet to get strapped in.? He said to Captain Small. ?We?re in for quite a ride.?

?8 minutes to wormhole caption.? The robotic voice boomed over the intercom. ?Good luck Captain.? Spike said
?Same to you Commander.?
Within the next five minutes, the entire starship was totally silent. Even the robots didn?t even know what to expect.
The ship began to groan. It sounded like the hull contracting on a submarine. The bay window stretched from 10 inches to about 8 feet in width. Captain Small seemed to be screaming in pain, but Spike couldn?t hear him. Small?s head was stretching so much that his eyes looked like slots in a pop machine. His neck stretched slowly to about 12 feet long. The whole ship was being twisted and stretched like hot plastic. Then, the ship started to pulsate. The hull contracted and expanded very slowly. The pressure was so great Spike thought his head would explode. He thought he was crying until he looked at captain Small and saw that his eyes were bleeding.
Then, very slowly, everything returned to normal. The window shrank down to normal size, the blood from Small?s eyes seemed to be slowly sucked back in. His head and neck shrank back to normal size as well. Within what seemed like hours the hull was returned to normal size.
?Robot, how long did it take to go through the wormhole?? Spike asked.
?Approximately 12 seconds Commander.?
?12 seconds!? Small yelled. ?Did this robot get his modem permanently stretched??
?No, the black hole?s gravity is so strong it actually stretches time as much as it stretched us.?
?Cool?
Spike laughed. ?We had better get to business. Robot, what are we looking at here?? Spike asked.
?The messages seem to be coming from that system of planets there Commander.?
Spike looked out the window. The planets were both about Neptune or Uranus size, and were both Orange-brown in color.
?The planets seem to be identical in mass, structure, and temperature Commander. The landing module is ready now, sir if you wish to descend now.?
?That?s great, thank you. Now you know that the connection between here and there is unbreakable? And you know the signal that launches the warheads??
?Yes, sir on both accounts.?
?Well, captain, let?s ready the troops and meet at the docking bay at 1900 hours.?
?Yes, sir Commander.? Small said.
?Robot?
?Yes, Commander??
?What time is 1900 hours??
?That would be 7 p.m., sir?
?Oh, I guessed right?

The landing modules were about the size of an 18-wheel trailer. The troops were divided into 50 soldiers per module. One after one, the modules broke free of the falcon and descended down to the larger planet. The atmosphere was a little more dense than earth?s, but the modules all landed safely.
The platform doors swung down and touched down lightly. The soldiers crept out of the module with their guns in ready position to fire.
?Fleet commanders, let?s just send Fleet One and Two out right now. Let?s not try to overwhelm them.? Spike spoke into the Commander Transmitter.
Fleet One?s leader was Itsthok Pavlov from Ukraine. He guided the troops over a small 50 foot hill of sand. He had them halt at the top. On the other side of the hill was an army of aliens that looked like a hybrid between a gorilla, a saber-tooth tiger, and a giant spider. It had 6 legs, 4 massive arms, and 2 huge teeth that Pavlov could see from fifteen yards away. There must have been 2,000 of them. All the same size, none of them looked different.
Behind the fleet of aliens there was a large structure that looked like an observatory. Out of the top of it was a huge radio telescope, probably 50 meters in diameter.
Pavlov motioned his troops forward slowly until he was about 3 feet away from the 9 foot tall alien. He raised two fingers and said in Ukrainian, ?We come in peace.?
The alien reached out one massive arm toward Pavlov?s. An infantryman from Japan raised his gun. With a grunt the alien backed away about 5 feet.
?Put zee gun down private!? Pavlov yelled. After looking at his translator, the soldier laid his gun on the ground, as did the rest of the two groups.
Once again, the Ukrainian Coloniel extended his arm in a handshake gesture.
All the aliens reached back in unison and pulled off what seemed to be their head. Then their massive arms puled apart their chest and revealed a tall, skinny, being that looked like a Conehead from the old movie.
?As do we, Isthok.?
?How do you know my name? I have not yet said it.?
?I know Isthok, but haven?t you ever heard of Telepathy??
Then, Pavlov realized the alien was not moving his mouth. Then, the alien approached him, seeming to be gliding, or on roller skates. He stopped at about 1 foot from Pavlov, and reached his finger toward his forehead, and each other alien did the same with another soldier. They apparently put their finger through the heads of each human, and then their eyes rolled back when they took their finger out. Then, in about 30 seconds, they were fine, but confused.
?It all comes together now, how did you do that?? Isthok demanded
?What, how I gave you the secrets of the universe, I don?t really know how it works, but I know why, It?s because our twin planet, Moldon, is planning to attack each and every galaxy and solar system they can find, they want to rule the universe, we did this to protect you. Oh, we also have given you a parting gift, you all now have telepathy and the power to pass it on.?
?Will you ever come to our planet?? Isthok asked.
?All in good time, Isthok, and farewell.?
Well, let?s move out. Pavlov thought to himself, but when he opened his mouth to say it, the troops had already turned around and were heading toward the launch vehicles.
Spike, I don?t know if you can hear me, but we need to call the President as soon as we get back.
I hear you buddy, Isthok heard in his head.
How did you?
All in good time, Isthok, all in good tim
