Albudobe
Water Resource Strategy Map
In 1997 the City of Albuquerque adopted a new water resources strategy to ensure a safe and sustainable water supply over the long term. The strategy will end our reliance on ground water as our only water source. In the future, we will use only the amount of water from the deep aquifer that can be replenished. The rest of our supply will come from river water, recycled water and shallow ground water. And of course, we also have to conserve and avoid waste.

The graphic below shows the features of this new strategy. Using your 4.0 or better browser,
move your mouse over the map and wait a moment to see details about each project involved in the strategy. Locations are approximate – final sites for facilities have not yet been completed.
