Tell us about yourself and the members of your band.

Im Kara Dupuy and the other members are Jeff Davis and Connor Lovat-Frasier on vocals Shawn Butchart plays guitar, Dave Costa is on bass, and Brian Southall is the drummer.

Where are you from?

Were all from Canada, most of us being from the Ontario area.

What other major tours have you been on besides Nintendo Fusion?

Boys Night Outs been on smaller label tours. We had our 1st large tour with Warped Tour this summer. Were always excited to go on tour.

Do you like all the tour mates on the road with you?

Yeah, a lot. We all get along. We all have good vibes with each other.

What has been the most gratifying thing about touring?

I like when we come home from touring, and realizing what was done. Weve been pretty much everywhere in North America, in the past few months.

I heard you did a concept album. That seems to be a very 1970s arena rock thing to do. What made you do it?

It was written without any album in mind; the band just kind of wanted to have a story for the record, kind of like a movie or a book or whatever. It was written with out any structure, just song were written and then we pieced them back together to form a story.

On what record label did you make this album? Are you still on the same label?

It was released on Ferret Records, and I think we only have one left after Trainwreck.

I realized that you havent always been apart of Boys Night Out. Did you just come on for this album?

Yeah, Ive always known Jeff and Conner from back in Ontario. They asked me to play violin and sing in a few tracks on this album. I think I brought on a whole new energy. I hope Im on for more albums.

Who produced Trainwreck?

A guy named Machine, whos known for his producing skills with Armor For Sleep, Lamb Of God, and Clutch. He was really important to the finished product.. Hes amazing and has wonderful taste. He kept our ideas in mind, and really made us come out as our best.

Thank you for taking your time with Concert Chaos to chat with us. Good luck with the rest of the tour and any new recordings!
