MusicCountry.com was sponsoring the Dixie Chicks Fly Tour and they had a contest on the site. All you had to do was sign up your information and the concert nearest you and they'd pick a winner at each concert date. I entered the concert in my mom's name because I wasn't 18 at the time and I didn't think anything of it. I'd entered tons of contests since we got the Internet and hadn't won anything. I hadn't gotten any tickets to see the Chicks and I really wanted to go. So on July 12, 3 days before the concert, my mom got a call and took it in the other room. She came back to where I was and asked me if I entered her in a contest to win to see the Dixie Chicks. I said 'Yeah' , because I did. Then she said something that I wasn't expecting...she won! She said that she had won tickets and meet and greet passes to meet the Chicks! I was so excited! That night my mom and I went to see Tracy Byrd and I couldn't concentrate. I just kept thinking about finally meeting Natalie, Martie and Emily!

The day arrived and we left early because Minneapolis is about 3 hours away. While we were there, we did some shopping and gave ourselves extra time to find the Target Center. This was our first time driving to a concert in the 'big city' because all the other times were on buses. So we get there really early searching for the will call window to find our tickets. We found the will call and they said that they don't have them yet. So now my mom's freaking out because we're there with no tickets. But it was still early, so we had time. We walked around the Target Center, memorizing which way to go when we'd leave. So we check the will call again and they told us to come an hour before show time and we went across the street to check out
K102's pre-concert party. So we go back and check for our tickets and they're there! And they're front row! OMG! I still can't believe it! We also got our meet and greet sticker, and without it, I would have had to put my camera back in the car...

So we go to our seats and I'm freaking out because we're so close to the stage. Ricky Skaggs comes out and does an OK job. We had to leave during his show to meet the Chicks. The Chicks had their own camera and the meeting was pretty quick!
I still haven't gotten the picture back yet, which is really frustrating! Leaving the meeting, they were checking for cameras (?), and they took my 'super-zoom' camera, but my mom had hers hid!

There's your trouble,
there's your trouble
You keep seeing double
with the wrong one
You can't see I love you
You can't see she doesn't
But you just keep holding on
There's your trouble
