Eddie and his #3
While waiting in line to meet Lonestar, Troy and Eddie came offstage and I snapped this photo. Some people around me got a picture with Troy, I would have asked for one, but he was in a hurry and I was there to meet my boys, Lonestar!
The newsletter that I got said that there wouldn't be any autographs when meeting the guys, but I brought my cover to I'm Already There just in case. The album didn't come out for another 3 days, but I had gotten mine a week ahead of time from the radio station's 'win-it before you can buy-it' weekend. Michael asked me if that's how I got it and I said yeah and that I loved it. Richie asked what my favorite song was. My mind was racing, I couldn't think...I said "Unusually Unusual." The picture was taken and Keech said to enjoy the album. Like I wouldn't! If you don't have it, you definitely should get it!
Me & Lonestar
Even though Montgomery Gentry's "Honky-Tonk-On-Wheels" bus is the frequent post-show gathering place, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry sometimes get a little cabin fever. Such was the case last Saturday night at Country Fest 2001 in Cadott, Wisconsin, where 33,000 fans gathered for a weekend of great country music. After their set, instead of sitting on the bus, Eddie and Troy commandeered two golf carts and headed off into the adjoining campgrounds to see where the action was. Eddie says, quote, "We've always said we don't have fans, we have friends." Troy agrees and adds, quote, "If someone pays hard-earned money to come see us, we want to meet them, say thanks and hang with them."(T-100)
'Cause and effect, chain of events
All of the chaos makes perfect sense
When you're spinning round,
things come undone
Welcome to Earth
3rd rock from the Sun
You can set my truck on fire,
roll it down a hill
But I still wouldn't trade
it for a Coupe DeVille
It's got an eight foot bed
that never has to be made
You know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams,
You know there's something
women like about a
Pickup Man
I was there when the men came,
and told us all the news
Father forgive them for
they know not what they do
Till they walk a while, a country mile
In my
hillbilly shoes
