Our Mission and Foundation |

|
We were founded by a group of local residents after the damage of the 2004 hurricane season ,After having loss power for 5 plus days and no water, we had a need to get help in to our residents ,some of whom were edlerly, so we band together ,contacted American Red Cross ,media and County& Federal Goverment for help, Asked them for food and water,and promised them ,that if they could get the items to us at our communtiy park (Keysville Recreation Ctr, ),we would distribute it out to the residents in need. with the help of our local park director,and employee ,we form delivery groups in our personal vechiles ,and took items directly to edlery and anyone whom we had contact with that could not come to our location, due to road blockage from downed trees ,power lines and flooded street, In the first Three days of operation we help distribute over 21,600 Ready to Meals ,and water not only to Our residents but to our surrounding neighorhoods Also, some of them driving some 40 plus milles to receive this aid from our location, as aid was limited . After we all got thur the wosrt of the hurricane season , we meet together again ,to discuss with elected county officals , the need for some needed changes. Including Road and Drainage Improvement,Debris Collection, Emergency Response Time and Services ,and the need to make sure that should this need arises again that we had a location in which we could use ,to help our residents again, |

Our Completed Projects |

In December,2004;January 2005, Our Residents met with elected officails ,and Discussed with them are needs, We had a List of 10 items that needed addressed ,
RxR Needed repaired ( 3 Crossing on Keysville Rd), Completed
Bridges need Repaired (3 of them) ,1 completed ,2 others scheduled for repair by 2006
Drainage Problem are being addressed, ( in study for solution)
Roads needing repaired ( Keysville Drive Schedule for Re-Pavement in 2005)
Debris collect - (completed to date ,with what was waiting to pick-up ,More to follow)
Missing Road Signs replaced (Completed ,All missing signs replaced by January 2005)
Improved response time from Sheriff Dept, Emerency Service redirected units closer to our area,for faster response times, |

As you can see ,we are making progrress in a short time ,slow but things are being done, and all of this has been done by a small group of residents who got involved , Just image what we as a neighborhood could have done, but it will take your support, Your imvolvement ,and the desire to see your area improve
Not only Finanicaly,but by you helping with your input on items, We invite everyone to come join us on the 2nd tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Keysville Recreation Ctr,9390 Edison Rd, Lithia Fl, Our Membership Dues are $1.00 per person each month.and this one dollar goes so we can help keep you informed of what we are currently duing ,that only $12 a year, to help direct meetings,news letters and other form of commucations, and to help those who we can in need. |
