THE CONAWAY BROTHERS

A legacy of faith, hope and love was born into the hearts of the five Conaway brothers. With a love for music from their youth, the brothers demonstrate the love of God through powerful singing and music abilities. Raised in church, the brothers were taught the importance of family and having the right relationship with God. As they grew older, God allowed each to experience challenges that ignited their commitment and fortitude to fight the good fight of faith. Though they each serve in their prospective local assemblies; Cornell - Calvary Baptist Church, Kilmarnock Va.; Lewis - New Antioch Baptist Church of Randallstown, Baltimore, Md.; Dexter - Church of Deliverance of Lively Va.; Roy - Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Va., and Rev. Donald Conaway - pastor of The Chuch of Deliverance, Lively Va; they come together in the of peace and sing as the scripture says in Psalm 144: 9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

God has given each of the brothers a special gift. Dexter plays bass and background vocals, Roy plays lead guitar and background vocals, Lewis and Cornell both serve alternately as lead and background vocalist. Son and nephew of the group, Maurice Conaway serves as keyboard player and Derrick Bedford serves as drummer. Rev. Donald Conaway who serves as full time pastor of The Church of Deliverance when available sing background vocals.

The Conaway Brothers sings with the entire family at various engagements as well. The remaining family consist of mom, Pearl Conaway; dad, Lewis Conaway who occasionally accompanies the group on sax; six sisters Veronica White, Maxine Yerby, Marva Nickens, Frances Hodges, Annette Conaway, and Angelia Darrough. As God leads them the family raise a melodious harmony unto the lord their God.

The Conaway Brothers aspire to glorify God through their singing and to bring lost souls to the foot of the cross where there's forgiveness for everyone. They also hope to bring a message of encouragement, peace and comfort to the lost all over the world.
