As I write this, I am currently at the Pentagon for my annual Navy assignment.  I'm a LCDR (Public Affairs Officer) in the Naval Reserve.  Starting next week, I'll begin my full-time civilian job as Communications Director for the State Department, Trafficking in Persons division.

I've been in the Naval Reserve the past 15 years .... assignments have taken me to Germany, Italy, Hawaii, Korea and Japan, among many stateside travels.  I'ts been a great cultural experience.

My husband and I moved here in March from Jacksonville, FL where I worked as a reporter and TV host for WJCT, the NPR/PBS affiliate.  For the past ten years, my civilian career has been as a reporter, working mainly throughout the midwest.  I've thoroughly enjoyed broadcast journalism and had the great fortune (or misfortune) ;o of covering those "hanging chads" during the Florida elex.  But also covered President Clinton's visit for a campaign stump.  Last year, I even got to interview John Travolta, while he was in Jacksonville filming the movie "Basic!" (It bombed at the box office, not a very good movie).  Interesting tidbit, he is extremely shy (but nice)!

I met my husband, John in 1997 and we got married in 2000.  He's a Navy intelligence officer working for Defense Intell Agency in D.C.

The love of our life, Abigail, came along this past April.  This year has been a busy one for us!

It's great to connect with people I haven't heard from in 20 years.  Would've loved to attend the reunion, but with the move, new job, bambino, etc., it was bad timing.

Would welcome hello's from my fellow Conard graduates, or anyone who knows the secret to keeping socks on an infant, at
