Parts are available at www.mouser.com Q1 is mounted above the copper foil of the PCB. "Bugs" (standoff pads) are made using a hand held nibbler by cutting a double-sided board and using the waste strips. They can be soldered in position or glued with Crazy Glue. Using the NEC/CEL NE3210 SO1 HJFET a noise figure of .35 db with gain of greater then 20 db is possible. The board should be mounted in a die cast metal enclosure. Stability is very good with care being taken for UHF layout practice. Easy to rescale to 2 meter applications by reducing the number of turns of L3 by 2 turns.
