Hint: Overdrives:
Information in this section was contributed by EarthGardian.
Auron: Find different Jecht Spheres laying about the world. Some of these will give Auron a new Overdrive. You need to find all ten to get Auron's final Overdrive.
Kimari: Use the Dragon Sword ability to drain HP and MP from the enemy. If the enemy has a Blue magic skill that Kimari can learn, he will gain it automatically. The only one that is difficult to get is "Sunshine", which you obtain from the Omega Weapon.
Lulu: Rotate the Right Analog-stick clockwise as fast as possible. The number will go up the more you rotate it. The more you level Lulu up, the easier it is to cast multiple spells.
Rikku: Rikku's Overdrive combines items to create special attacks and power-ups during battle. You have to choose any two items to combine. Note: Two of the same kind will work.
Tidus: Just keep using them over and over. After a while, he will learn his next Overdrive.
Wakka: You can win new Overdrive roulette (slots) types in the Blitzball Ranking and Tournament modes.
Hint: Easy full Overdrive:
Activate the tutorial console and select "Fiend Info". As
the battle goes on, call an Aeon. When the Overdrive gauge is full, use an
attack other than the Overdrive. After the battle ends, you Overdrive gauge will
be full.
Information in this section was contributed by Ex
PhateX.
Go to Monster Arena in Calm Lands. Buy weapons with the Capture ability.
Capture all monsters from all areas, then go back to the arena and talk to the
man. He will give you a lot of items, then he will say that he has created a
monster. He will ask if you want to fight it for free. Answer "Yes".
The monster is called Catastrophe. When you fight, it will release an attack
called Poison Breath. It will do over 10,000 damage and all of your characters
that are fighting will die. However, your Overdrive will either be full or very
close to being full.
Information in this section was contributed by Mooncodan.
Hint: Hidden Aeons:
Yojimbo
Go to the path that leads under the bridge after you defeat Defender X. Go under the bridge and into The Cavern Of Stolen Fayth. Keep going until you see a Summoner and you end up fighting her Aeon. Call out Bahamut and kill Yojimbo. Then when you do go straight into the Chamber of Fayth and talk to the man, select "To defeat the strongest enemies". For your first bid, offer half of his offer plus one gil (for example, if he offers 250,000 gil, offer 150,001 gil). By the time he proposes 205,000 gil, he will generally accept any offer below 200,000 gil. Any lower than 195,000 gil, and he will not accept.
Information in this section was contributed by Lilromo01 and Jason Chiu.
Anima
Find the hidden Baaj Temple with the Airship. Run up the familiar path and dive into the water. Then, prepare to finally defeat Geosgaeno, and swim toward the underwater temple entrance. After defeating Geosgaeno, swim north into the temple entrance. Enter the Chamber of Fayth and approach the six statues on either side. There is one hidden item in each of the Six Cloyster Of Trials. By now you must have about five. Fly back to Zanarkand and enter the dome. Once there, a new puzzle solution is displayed on-screen. Step on three white squares in the first room, and four in the larger chamber. This opens a panel in the first room, revealing a Destruction Sphere. Place the Destruction Sphere into the slot to the right of the monitor in the large chamber and the screen will explode. Collect the Magistral Rod, and return to the Baaj Temple. The six statues will now resonate with the items you have collected, allowing you to enter the Chamber of Fayth.
Information in this section was contributed by Lilromo01 and Jason Chiu.
The Magus Sisters
Capture all of the required fiends on Mt. Gagazet and return to the monster arena owner in the Calm Lands. As a reward, he gives you the Blossom Crown. You must also posses all the other Aeons including Yojimbo and Anima. Next, go to the Reniem Temple in the Calm Lands. After you defeat Spathi, Belgemine will give you the Flower Scepter. After defeating all of the Aeons at Reniem Temple, use the Blossom Crown and the Flower Sceptor on the door in the back to unseal it and acquire the Magus Sisters
Information in this section was contributed by Lilromo01 and Jason Chiu.
Hint: Easy Aeon healing:
Instead of bothering to have one of your Aeons learn any of the cure
spells, try this. For the elemental Aeons (Ifrit, Shiva, Ixion, etc.), try using
a spell that corresponds with their element (Ifrit: Fire, Shiva: Blizzard, Ixion:
Thunder). This heals them much more than if you did any cure spell You can also
try the advanced spells (Fira, Blizzara, etc.).
Information in this section was contributed by Froyst
Malakite.
Hint: Aeons and legendary weapons:
Although it may seem as if your legendary weapons are weak and
useless, get all of them and your Aeons will have a normal attack of 9999.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Hint: Quick healing and restoration:
Every time you save the game at a save point, it will completely heal
all the party members, revive all summons and completely heal MP.
Information in this section was contributed by Goten2345.
Hint: Low MP spells:
Equip items with the one MP ability and Magic Booster. This makes
each spell cast cost one MP, and Magic Booster makes the damage x1.5 for double
the MP. Then, double cast these spells for a cost of only 4 MP.
Information in this section was contributed by TheStallion2006.
If you do not have 1 MP or Half MP abilities, use the following trick to use
considerably less MP for maximum damage. Have one person with Doublecast and
Ultima, and everyone (including the one with Doublecast and Ultima) with
Copycat. Doublecast Ultima (180 MP), then have everybody use Copycat (28 MP).
After the first 180 MP, it will only cost 28 MP to Doublecast Ultima.
Information in this section was contributed by Eric
Lord Raven Junior.
Hint: Defeating Biran:
When fighting Biran and Yenke with Kimahri, use Lancet on each of
them a few times. You should get a few Ronso Rages. Use Lancet again after Biran
has used Mighty Guard to also obtain it.
Information in this section was contributed by Daniel
Cooper.
Hint: Defeating Braska's final Aeon:
Use Yuna to summon all her Aeons. Use their Overdrives to defeat its
first form. To defeat its second form, use Magus Sisters and keep doing their
specials. When it is Overdrive time for Magus Sisters, use it. This battle is
not to difficult. Also use Kimahri's Zombie Break attack on it to inflict Zombie
on it.
Information in this section was contributed by Mooncodan.
Summon three Aeons first for the first form. For the second form, summon two
Aeons. Then just use Zombie attack on him and use Curaga with yuna. Next, use
Quick Hit with Tidus. Use the strongest person to remain alive and Phoenix Down
Tidus or Yuna. Note: You must have your strongest weapons equipped.
Information in this section was contributed by Armygal619.
Hint: Defeating Cactuars:
Provoke Cactuars them with Tidus, then attack with Wakka. If Wakka is
not strong enough to kill the Cactuar with one hit, you will probably have to
revive Tidus.
Hint: Defeating the Crawler Machina:
Make sure that Rikku's Overdrive gauge is almost full and you have an
Arctic Wind equipped. Have Auron, Rikku, and any other character out on the
battlefield. Do not destroy the Magic Blocker that the Machina sends out. That
prevents the Machina from using Mana Beam. Instead, have Rikku steal from the
Machina to get a Lunar Curtain. Have the next two characters in your party
attack. When Rikku's overdrive gauge is full, have her mix the Arctic Wind and
the Lunar Curtain. This will cast Haste and Shell on your party. It also puts a
shield around you. Also, your party will regain health after you are attacked by
the Machina.
Information in this section was contributed by matt
simon.
Hint: Defeating Evrae Altana:
Use two or three Phoenix Downs on it to kill it instantly.
Information in this section was contributed by Jason
Chiu.
Use an X-Potion for a one hit kill.
Information in this section was contributed by Barry.
Hint: Defeating the Holy Ground Dragon:
In the fight with the dragon immediately before you get to the
Zanarkand Ruins, cast Reflect on him. If you do not have the Reflect spell yet,
you can steal a Star Curtain from an Mandagora using Rikku. They are in the cave
immediately before the fight. Then, use that item on the dragon. He will no
longer be able to heal himself or use Protect.
Information in this section was contributed by jacksonbryant.
Hint: Defeating Omega Weapon:
Use Kimahri to use Lancet. He will learn the Overdrive Nova. Use Nova
and get Yuna to summon Magus Sisters. Use their Overdrive, then use there
special attacks which are Passado, Razzai, and Camiside. Keep doing this until
Omega Weapon is defeated. Use same strategy on Ultima Weapon.
Information in this section was contributed by Mooncodan.
Hint: Defeating the Sanctuary Keeper:
Have Yuna cast Reflect on the creature. Then have your highest hit
point character hack away at it. It will still cast the Cure and Regen spells,
but with Reflect it will be healing the party instead of itself.
Information in this section was contributed by Jim
Phoenix.
Get your Overdrives full on every character and Aeon. Next, cast Reflect on
the Boss. Every time he uses curing magic, it will heal the party. Then, use
Kimari's Mighty Guard and summon your best Aeon (Ixion then Shiva recommended).
Magic is useless in this battle because the Boss has high magic defense. It also
does a bad move that inflicts lots of bad status effects (even death). This is a
fairly easy battle if you have over 3,000 HP and a good defense. You should also
have over 5 X-Potions, 10 Phoenix Downs, some Ethers, good curing magic, and
Regain, Shell, and Protect.
Information in this section was contributed by RBondoron.
Hint: Defeating the Spectral Keeper:
Have your Overdrives full and use them. You should have between 4,000
to 6,000 HP, Aga magic, lots of curing items, and Protect (to muffle the power
of the Boss' moves). He does a move called Glyph Mine that kills you instantly.
Getting hit by this is pure luck. He normally only does it one to two times.
Information in this section was contributed by RBondoron.
Hint: Defeating Seymour 1:
In the first fight with Seymour, have Rikku steal from the two
guards. This will stop them from using Auto-Potion. Seymour will call Anima, and
an Overdrive gauge will appear in front of him. Attack and watch the gauge, When
it is almost full, have Yuna call one of her Aeons to take the hit from Anima's
Overdrive. Repeat this as needed. After defeating Anima, Seymour will start
casting multiple spells. Use Yuna to heal you party, and have the rest attack.
Information in this section was contributed by jstemple
and FinalFlashX.
When you fight Seymour for the first time, and after he summons Anima, you
will have to fight just him. Seymour's magic attacks follow the exact pattern of
Ice, Thunder, Water, and Fire. Therefore if you have Yuna cast her Nu-spells,
you will not get hurt at all.
Information in this section was contributed by Lou
Paniccia.
Scan Seymour with Sensor, then click on Seymour and see what order he casts
his magic in. When you have learned this order, have Yuna cast the NulShields in
the same order and he will never hit you. Every time you try to hit Seymour, one
of his Guado Guards will jump in your way, and every time you hit a Guado Guard,
he heals himself. To take out the two Guado Guards, use Rikku and your best
hitter. Have Rikku to steal from one of the Guards and then have your best
hitter attack that Guado Guard. You will get one Hi-Potion and the Guado Guard
will not heal. When the Guards are dead and Seymour has exceeded his life, he
summons Anima, an Aeon. You have seen Anima at the Blitzball Tournament. Use
Yuna to summon the "????" Aeon, whom is Shiva. Use Boost for Shiva
twice. This will put her into Overdrive. Before you use Diamond Dust (her
Overdrive), heal yourself with Blizzard/Blizzara. Repeat this twice and Anima
will die. Quickly dismiss Shiva. To defeat Seymour again, just cast the
NulShields in the order of his magic and attack with your best hitters; or use
Lulu, for Black Magic.
Information in this section was contributed by xbosouthiex.
Have Yuna learn Reflect and cast it on all of your party members at the start
of the fight. Use a weapon with Stonetouch (such as Auron's Gorgon Gaze) to
dispatch the Guado Guards. Beat down Anima with the "????" summon
(Shiva) by using Boost to charge her Overdrive twice and healing her with
Blizzara. Then, let Seymour kill himself by casting his multi-spells on the
Reflect. Each time the spell will bounce back on him and deal over 1500 damage.
Since he only has 6000 HP, the battle will end quickly.
Information in this section was contributed by UnholyFigure.
To defeat Seymour 1's guards quicker, charge Kimarhi Overdrive and use Ronso
Rage-Stone Breath. It will automatically kill the guards, however Seymour is
immune.
Information in this section was contributed by Rubberturkey.
Make sure that Yuna is in your attack party. Use her to cast NulBlaze,
NulShock, NulFrost, and NulTide. Seymour and his Guado friends only use magic
attacks and Confusion. Keep doing this until Yuna Reaches overdrive and use her
"Grand Summon". You can use what ever Aeon you wish, but Ifrit is
recommended. He will be charged with Overdrive because Yuna was, will kill the
Guados. Seymour will summon Anima. You should use Boost once, take Anima's
attack (which will only take away half of your life). After that, use Fira or
Blizardra on yourself, depending on whether you chose Ifrit or Shiva to fight
(elemental Aeons gain HP from their elemental attacks). Repeat this until you
reach Overdrive and use your attacks. When Anima's Overdrive gauge is almost
full, use Shield and his Overdrive will only take half of your life away. Repeat
this until he dies. You will have to fight Seymour once again. Do what was you
done before with the Nuls and use either magic or other attacks.
Information in this section was contributed by John.
Hint: Defeating Seymour 2:
Cast reflect on all party members and Seymour will heavily damage
himself with his magic.
Information in this section was contributed by OkThatsNice.
Cast Reflect on Seymour (not his pet), then keep attacking his pet. The pet
will take life from Seymour and cast Curaga on him, which will reflect back to a
party member. Use your Aeons' Overdrives to kill him faster.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Hint: Defeating Seymour 3:
In the third fight with Seymour, he is rather tough and uses a combo
attack where he uses the Lance of Atrophy which inflicts Zombie on one character
then casts Full Life to kill them. He uses this in two turns -- you only have
one chance to use Holy Water, which you should have a lot of. Spend some time
before the battle running around near the save location just before fighting
him. Build up all you characters' and Aeons' Overdrives so that you can use all
of them in the fight. It is also a good idea to have at least one character in
the fight that has about 3000 HP. Seymour will use attacks that can kill your
party in one hit, but 3000 HP should be enough to keep you alive. Have the
surviving character use a MegaPhoenix to revive you party then heal it.
Information in this section was contributed by jstemple.
Have at least 30 Hi-Potions (preferably more), at least 10 Holy Waters, at
least 5 Phoenix Downs and use a party with Tidus, Kimahri, and Auron. Enter the
party with Kimahri's Overdrive gauge full. Have Tidus cast Hastega on the party,
and do it again if it runs out or Seymour casts Dispel. Keep fighting, using
Hi-Potions and Holy Water when needed. When the message "Metamorphos is
gaining power" appears, use Kimahri's Overdrive to cast Mighty Guard. After
that, just have everyone attack basically, and use a Mega-Potion or some kind of
heal all item after each annihilation attack, if you have them. Also, If you
guided Kimahri in a certain direction on the sphere grid, he might know
"Use". If so, also have him use Al Bhed potions . Seymour should go
down quickly, especially if you get Auron's Overdrive full before Seymour casts
Protect. Note: Delay Attack/Delay Buster does not work on Seymour.
Information in this section was contributed by Skullworm.
You will face his Total Annihilation ability when facing Seymour for the
third and final time. To cut this in half, cast Protect and Shell. However, he
can cast Dispel. When he does this try to repeat Protect and Shell as fast as
you can.
Information in this section was contributed by xbosouthiex.
Charge all of yours Aeons' Overdrives and use them. If he has not been
killed, cast Reflect on everyone, including Seymour. Then, hit him with all of
your strongest moves. He is weak against Fira and Firaga.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Use Bio magic with Lulu to poison him. Every time he uses a move, it will
take off 1400 to 2000 HP. Cast Protect and Shell and remember to get your
characters' Overdrives full before you fight. Beware of his combo move that
casts Zombie followed by Full-Life, which will instantly kill. You should have
at least 20 Holy Waters, 50 High Potions, 10 Megapotions, 10 Megaphoenix Downs,
and 5 Phoenix Downs. Each of your characters should also have at least 2000 HP
and two characters should have 3000 to 5000 HP. A recommended team is Auron,
Yuna, and Lulu. You can only use a summons attack one to two times then the Boss
uses Banish and gets rid of your Summon. The Boss' weakness is Fire, so use
Ifrit when his Overdrive is full.
Information in this section was contributed by RBondoron.
Hint: Defeating Seymour 4:
Do not attack the Elemental Wheels. Use the opposite magic that he
turns to with Lulu. When he turns to non-elemental, hit him with your Aeons'
Overdrives. He will use Ultima to kill your Aeons, but he will get hurt only
when he is on gray.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Blue: Water
Purple: Blizzard
Red: Fire
Yellow: Thunder
Gray: Non: elemental
Hint: Defeating Sin:
Get the secret Aeon Anima, and get it into Overdrive. Next, get Yuna
in Overdrive. Then, get Rikku and Kimahri in Overdrive. Fight Sin and before he
pulls you in, get Tidus and use Hastega. When Sin pulls you in, use Rikku to
throw a maximum amount of Gil. It will do 9,999 damage to Sin. Then, use
Kimahri's Overdrive and use Thrust Kick. If you have Nova for Kimahri's
Overdrive, use it instead because it does a lot of damage (either 6,200 or
9,999). Then, use Rikku's Overdrive. Combine two ThreeStars (which can be
acquired at Calm Lands for catching certain enemies in a certain region). After
you combine them, it will do Sunburst which does 12,000 damage. Bring out Anima
and use its overdrive. After its Overdrive, dismiss Anima and use Yuna's
Overdrive on Anima. Then, use anima's overdrive again. It will do about 80,000
damage after using Animas Overdrive twice. Dismiss Anima, switch Yuna with Tidus,
and switch Rikku with Auron. Your party should now consist of Tidus, Auron, and
Kimahri. Use Tidus to cast Hastega on the party. Have Auron use Armor Break and
have Kimahri to use Zombie Break. It does not inflict Zombie on Sin, but does do
a lot of damage.
Information in this section was contributed by Mooncodan.
Hint: Defeating Sinspawn Gui:
Destroy the head first, so he does not do much damage. Next, destroy
both his arms. Have Auron and Wakka in your party. Auron can destroy the arms
and Wakka can destroy the head. The head just has 1000 HP and the arms have 800
HP. Do not change Auron because the arms will regenerate. When you fight
Sinspawn Gui 2, you will have Seymour in your party. Have Seymour use Thundara
on the head. Next, have Yuna summon an Aeon with its Overdrive (if available).
If not, just do the same thing as last time without Wakka in your party. Also,
use Seymour's Thundara ability on the body, which has 6000 HP, to destroy
Sinspawn Gui 2 faster. Remember to take out the arms first.
Information in this section was contributed by WDelpo.
Hint: Defeating Yu Yevon:
Use the Zombie Attack skill on Yu Yevon. After every attack, he will
cast Curaga on himself and take extra damage because of his Zombie status.
Information in this section was contributed by Jeffrey
Smith.
Hint: Defeating Yunalesca:
Yunalesca has three stages. Her first form is quite simple. Just use
physical attacks and magic. Do not use Overdrives or Aeons. Her attacks are very
weak and she is killed easily. Her second form is a more difficult. She does an
attack which casts Zombie -- have plenty of Holy Waters available. In this part,
use your players' Overdrives, but no Aeons. Yunalesca's third form is not very
difficult. Just have your Aeons' Overdrives ready and finish her off with a
couple of physical attacks.
Information in this section was contributed by FF
Master.
Hint: Defeating Bosses:
Get all your Aeons' Overdrives character's Overdrives up before
battle. When you enter the battle, let everyone hit once with their Overdrive
(so at the end they all get experience) and let Yuna summon her Aeons and use
their Overdrives. Try using Yuna's Overdrive "Grand Summon" and summon
your best Aeon. You can use two Overdrives with hem if you charged them up.
Information in this section was contributed by Rusty616.
To defeat almost any Boss in the game, go through the Monster Arena side
quest until the man gives you 60 (99?) Gambler's Spirits. Next, build up your
characters' Overdrives. With a party that includes Tidus, Rikku, and Yuna, go
into a battle. Usually Rikku will go first -- have her use Overdrive: Mix and
combine two Gambler's Spirits. This casts Trio of 9999 (makes the next time the
character attacks to do 9999 damage). Then, use Tidus and his second Overdrive.
Since you cast Trio of 9999, all six of Tidus' attacks will do 9999 damage for a
grand total of 59,994. Next, have Yuna Grand Summon a strong Aeon (Anema, Magus
Sisters, Bahamut) and they should do about 30,000 damage for a grand total about
90,000. This should kill any Boss except for Omega Weapon, and the second form
of Braska's final Aeon. For even more damage, make sure all of your Aeons are
also at Overdrive.
Information in this section was contributed by Dusty
Thell.
Get Anima, Yojimbo, and The Magus Sisters. Train with them a little while and
when you encounter a Boss, the battle will be easier. To make a Boss fight even
more easy, get all your Aeons, including the secret ones, and get them into
Overdrive.
Information in this section was contributed by Mooncodan.
Hint: Defeating enemies that use Reflect:
Have a party member cast Reflect on another party member. Then, just
use an attack spell on that person. For example, when you are fighting an enemy
with Reflect, to attack that creature with magic first use Reflect on Tidus with
Yuna. On the next move, use Thundaga on Tidus. It will reflect to the enemy and
will not be reflected back.
Information in this section was contributed by OkThatsNice.
Hint: Increase damage:
When in battle, choose the Attack command. When your character is
just about to strike, tap R1. A small explosion will appear on the enemy
and the damage will be twice the amount usually done.
Information in this section was contributed by Shenlong
UnKnown.
Throughout the game you will acquire Black Magic Spheres. Save them until
Lulu has learned her top elemental spells, when Kimari learns Ultima, and when
Wakka gets close enough to Flare to learn it. You will need a total of six Black
Magic Spheres. Teach Ultima, then Flare, then the elemental spells to Yuna. When
she powers up her Nirvana, she can use Ultima and do at least 18,000 HP worth of
damage to each enemy for only 1 MP. If you want even more damage, have her learn
Doublecast with a Skill Sphere obtainable from enemies in the Omega Ruins. Holy
also works well after Yuna powers up her Nirvana. This is effective because
Yuna's magic power is double that of Lulu.
Information in this section was contributed by Cl0ud7.
Hint: Omega Weapon and Ultima Weapon:
To find Omega Weapon and Ultima Weapon you must explore the ruins
with a No Encounter ability on one of your characters (Peaceful Bangle, Ductile
Rod, etc.). The best way to find them is to have a high level. When you enter
you will be tempted to go straight. Instead, go to the left and then straight.
The rest of the way should be obvious.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Hint: Potions:
At the very beginning of the game, as you head down the long road to
get to the Blitzball stadium, talk to the girl running around who talks about
tickets more than once. Eventually she will say that tickets are sold out, and
will ask if you can get tickets for her. Tell her you can, and she will reward
you with two Potions.
Information in this section was contributed by Jeff.
Near the start of the game, when you get on the S.S. Liki after getting Yuna,
you should be able to explore the ship for a little bit. When you get to walk
around, go downstairs. A man will talk to you about your clothes. After he is
done talking, go to the only open room (on the left side) in the hallway. You
should see a seasick man with his head out the window. On the far right of the
screen, you should see a suitcase similar to the one Yuna was going to bring on
the boat. Go up to it and press X to kick it. You will receive a Potion.
Keep kicking it to get about fifteen free Potions.
Information in this section was contributed by Chris
Ruvolo and leviathan.
When you meet Yukku on the salvaged ship, talk to the man with a gun that has
a knife on it. Talk to Yukku and talk to the other person. You can only
understand Yukku, but after you talk to them all you will get three Potions.
Information in this section was contributed by thomas
aprigliano.
Early in the game, after being forced on Rikku's Al Bhed ship, there will be
a man who will tell you that you have to work to stay on the boat. Though you
cannot understand him, Rikku will translate for you. There will be two other men
waiting on the boat. One will give you three potions when you talk to him (the
man all the way on the left of the three). Talk to Rikku, and you will jump off
the boat. Swim down to the second screen, where you can see a big building with
red lights, and fight a couple of battles. Swim back up to where you can return
back to the ship. Talk to the man that gave you the free potions again, and he
will give you three more. You can repeat this as many times as needed.
Information in this section was contributed by Bryan
Tran.
Hint: Items:
After your ship docks at the first town (the one torn apart by Sin),
proceed through the intermission sequence with Yuna, and you will find yourself
in a hut. Exit the hut, and proceed to the left side of the screen. You will see
a child on a pile of rubble. Press X near the child to rescue her before
the rubble collapses. Proceed to the hut at the top right of the current screen
for a free item from the chest.
Information in this section was contributed by leviathan.
Hint: Hidden locations:
There are several hidden locations on the world map that you can find
by selecting specific coordinates while aboard the airship. Move the pointer to
the approximate coordinates and press X to search that region.

Chiu.
Tidus: Caladbolg
Race and defeat the Chocobo trainer in the Calm Lands. After winning the race, walk to the upper northwest section of the Calm Lands. The guard blocking a narrow pathway down into the gorge will have left his post, allowing you to pass. Tidus will then be able to use the Calastial Mirror to acquire Caladbolg.

Capture all nine types of fiends in the Calm Land region. After collecting them all, return to the monster arena owner. He will produce a treasure chest, containing the weapon.
Auron: Masamune
Acquire the Rusty Sword, which is found on the eastern cliff of the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth in the Calm Lands. Take the Rusty Sword to the statue of Lord Mi'ihen on the Mushroom Rock Road. Place the Rusty Sword before the statue to reveal a glyph. Touch it to reveal the Masamune's secret location.
Wakka: World Champion
Talk to the bartender in Luca Cafe. If she refuses to turn it over, it is because you have been neglecting to play Blitzball.
Kimahri: Spirit Lance
Active three of the Qactuar Stones on the Thunder Plains, then find the Qactuar ghost flying just above the ground at Thunder Plains-South. Follow it to a small ruined lighting tower on the right side. Press Square to send a bolt of lightning to the tower to reveal a treasure holding the weapon.
Lulu: Onion Knight
Return to Baaj Temple and dive underwater. Swim towards the doors to the north and fight Geosgaeno. After defeating it, search the southern part of the circular underwater area and look for a treasure chest containing the weapon.
Rikku: Godhand
Input the airship password GODHAND to open a secret location at Mushroom Rock. Move north to the end of this ravine, and use the Celestial Mirror on the symbol embedded in the rock face.

When you find each one, it will play a quick game with you. You must capture it before the timer runs out, however if it sees you moving, you will lose. Is not actually important to win these games -- do not worry if you fail. Return the green orb to the monument to get a clue about the next Catuar. The Cactuars appear in a random order. There locations are:
Tomay: At the Mikanel Island Oasis (first desert area)
Roviva: Northwest area of the second desert area
Chava: Hiding behind the Al Behd 20% off sign in the fourth desert area

Sigil: Win the butterfly catching mini-game in the Macalania Forest. You must touch all the blue butterflies with the allotted time limit. Touching a red butterfly incites a battle that wastes precious time.
Hint: Get Blitz Ace quicker:
To get Blitz Ace for Tidus quicker, put his Overdrive mode into
Slayer. When his Overdrive is ready, use Energy Rain only on three enemies. When
all three of those enemies are killed, his Overdrive bar will either be filled
three quarters or all the way.
Information in this section was contributed by DEERIVERA61.
Hint: Quicker party:
If you have your three faster characters in your battle party
formation, you will always get your initial turns faster. Then, just switch them
out for slower characters, allowing them to go instead.
Information in this section was contributed by dbclark.
Hint: Get other people on Blitzball team:
To get other people on your Blitzball team press Square while
facing someone. If they play, it will show their stats. Shin them up for as many
games as you want. Note: This costs money.
Information in this section was contributed by JakethaSnake007.
Hint: Better Blitzball players:
If you are bad at Blitzball, keep playing until a good team fires one
of their players. Then, go to the team and find the player that they fired and
hire him.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
When playing Blitzball, you may notice players on other teams that are better
than the players on your team. If you wish to switch players, simply scout the
opposing player, and note how many games they have left on their contract. If
you can afford to pay your other team members' salaries, you can simply play
multiple exhibition games against the team with the player you want, and after
each game starts, press Triangle to Forfeit. This will not hurt your
team, since no-one on the opposing team will gain experience. Once the number of
games on the desired player's contract is reduced to 1, find the player and
scout them again (this makes the team less likely to re-sign him or her). Save
your game, play another exhibition game, and forfeit. After the game, the team
will either release or re-sign the player, but you can reset your game and try
multiple times until the player is released. Then, head back and sign the player
for your own team.

To win every one of your early games of Blitzball easily (asides from the
first rather unfair one), you need to pick up the correct people after the
events in Luca. Recruit Zev Ronso (standing near dock 4 on the eastern side) and
have him take the MF position. Recruit Wedge from the gate near the Auroch's
locker room and have him take LF or RF. Tidus stays in the other LF or RF slot.
Recruit Jumal from the square near the theater/seaport side and make him your
goalie. Eventually, recruit Ropp from Rin's store on the Highroad and have him
take over for one of your defenders. Swing Letty back with Jassu as defenders to
start, and keep Letty to do the passing after getting Ropp. Here is the strategy
needed to win. Tidus and Wedge will quickly become the nastiest front team in
the game. Once Tidus hits level 3, equip Jecht Shot (you should have this from
the boat ride to Luca). When he charges for a goal, keep his defenders down to
two and Jecht Shot will mow them both down, giving him a SH 18+ shot on goal. He
can usually do this once per half, for two easy points. Wedge has 65 SP and 17
SH. He can especially victimize the Ronso team, as they are slow. Have him zip
to the goal, shoot, and score. At level 3, equip Wither Shot for even more
nastiness. Zev is almost the perfect midfielder. A shade slow, but he can hit,
pass, endure, tackle, block -- a great set up man for your forwards. If they
kept track of assists, Zev would be through the roof. Letty and Jassu have good
speed and attack, and both can pass. Since your goalie (Jumal) has a 14 CA and
can equip Super Goalie at level 3, they do not really need to be there to stop
shots. Let them pass to each other if you want good ball control. Ropp is a
vicious defender with great attack, block, and pass. Use him as further
insurance, especially against the Guado team. Keep leveling, grab some techs,
and no one can stop you.

You probably will not win the first (unfair) game of Blitzball with the Luca
Goers. However, use the following trick to win every game besides that. First,
in Luca after that game and the events that happen at the stadium, go to dock 4
and get Zev Ronso and make him your MF. Next, get Jumal near the bar sitting on
a bench and make him your Goalie. After that, go to the stairs that lead to the
stadium, get Wedge, and make him you RF. Make Tidus your LF and make sure he has
the Jecht Shot. It can take two people out when your in a breakthrough. Wedge
will have a shot of 17 and Zev is excellent for a beginner because his shot and
pass are sort of balanced but his EN is strong. Jumal will be a goalie with a
starting catch of 15. If you keep leveling up Jumal, he will get Super Goalie.
Also, try out other people in different towns as well. Press Square to
see if some people are on other teams or a free player. Press X for the
free players to join.

It is possible to do well in Blitzball without hiring other players.
Blitzball members will gain experience by how they participate in the game, and
by how well they participate. If your team makes successful attacks, shots,
catches, passes, etc. they will gain experience and their stats will increase.
Basically, if your team has more time with the ball, you will gain more
experience points for your team. In a Blitzball game, take note of the opposing
team's stats, and find out what most of their weaknesses are. You will now know
who to avoid and who to ignore in a game. Also, if someone is on your tail while
you are dribbling the ball, you may want to take care of them as soon as
possible. If your dribbler survives the attack, the attack will be far behind
and your dribbler will be able to advance the ball without worrying about too
many attackers.

Hint: Blitzball team locations:
Here are the original locations for the six Blitzball teams:
Information in this section was contributed by Matthew
Rorie.
Luca Goers: Dock #3, Luca
Ronso Fangs: Dock #4, Luca
Al Bhed Psyches: Airship Engine Room
Besaid Aurochs: Right Locker Room, Luca
Guado Glories: Guadosalam
Kilika Beasts: Kilika
Hint: Wake up sleeping Blitzball players:
If any of your players have been put to sleep by a nap tackle, change
your strategy and they will automatically wake up without you having to lose the
ball by throwing it at them. For example, if Tidus is put to sleep by a nap
tackle and your current strategy is Normal Attack, switch to Left Attack and he
will wake up.

Hint: Easy Blitzball win:
After the gaining control of the airship, scout Brother (the man
flying it). Put him on you team for as many games as you can afford. He is very
fast and will be a good player to have on your team. Also have Tidus and another
good shooter and put them in your RF and LF positions. Have Brother be your MF.
The rest of the positions do not matter. When your team gets the ball, give it
to Brother. Dribble in with him and go around all of the defenders. If you get
close enough, the defenders will follow you. Since Brother is so fast dribbling
in, get all defenders on you, and dribble the opposite direction to the goal
your team is guarding. If all defenders follow you, should be able to get away
from the defenders enough so you can have an open pass down the other half of
the sphere. Pass it to one of the open players down the sphere. If Tidus has the
Sphere or Jecht Shot, give it to him or someone else that is open. Once you pass
it, dribble down with the player who received the pass. You should have an open
shot. Take it at point blank range, since it is very possible to do that. You
should score most of the time. Continue this to rack up points and the game
should be no problem. If you just want to waste down the clock, give the ball to
Brother and just run around. No one should be able to catch him. Note: This
trick works the best when playing the Ronso Fangs.

When playing get at least one more point the other team. Once you get the
ball again, keep on you side of the field and do not move. The clock will tick
by and no one will come after you, letting you win the game.
Information in this section was contributed by killer_penguin.
After you score a goal, all you have to do to win is win the Blitzoff. Do not
touch any buttons if you win -- just sit there. The opposing team usually just
swims in circles, allowing the time to expire without them getting the ball.
Watch your HP -- when you are standing still it goes down fast. This also works
sometimes when you pass to a player that is far away from the other team.
Information in this section was contributed by Barry.
Shoot one goal then try to get possession of the ball again. Once done, hide
behind your goalie (not the goalpost) and no one will bother you. The players
will start spinning in place. Send your players to the other side or as far over
as possible. Pass to your best shooter and make a break for it.
Information in this section was contributed by Austin.
Bonus Blitzball items:
At the end of a season or tournament in Blitzball, if two or more of
your players are tied for the lead in scoring, you will receive an item for each
of them. For example, if Tidus and Wakka both finish a tournament with four
goals each The prize for leading scorer is a Return Sphere. You will receive a
Return Sphere for both Wakka and Tidus, giving you two of them.
Information in this section was contributed by AllMixedUp1311.
Recommended Blitzball players:
Jumal: Goalie (Sitting on a bench in Luca)
Ropp: LD or RD (Clerk in AlBhed shop on Mi'Hen highroad)
Kyou: LD or RD (Djose temple - crusader with red and blue)
Wakka: LF, RF or MF (on Airship after Zanarkand)
Tidus: LF, RF or MF
Wedge: LF, RF or MF (Guarding door into Luca stadium)
Information in this section was contributed by Dennis12188.
Hint: Mastering the Jecht Shot:
When you are on the ship about to go to Luca and ready to practice
it, do not do it when it the game displays the directional arrows. Instead, do
it when the sentences from Jecht appear on the screen. For example, when the
voice of Jecht says "You're never gonna make it kid" on the bottom
right corner of the screen, press Left Analog-stick Right then X
and it will disappear. There are a total of eleven sentences that he says. Keep
resetting it until you master it.

Hint: Easy captures:
Later in the game, when every monster is basically a mini-boss, have
two magic casters with the One AP Cost and Break Damage Limit abilities use
Doublecast Demi. Then, have your most heavy hitting character with a Capture
weapon enter and finish them off.
Information in this section was contributed by dbclark.
Hint: Easy AP:
This trick requires a Friend Sphere or Teleport Sphere and Rikku on
your team. Use a Teleport Sphere or a Friend Sphere to get to where Rikku starts
out on the Sphere Grid. Because she starts out with such low HP, the sphere grid
has to give her a lot of HP Spheres. Getting other characters there will add at
least 1000 HP.

Collect some Doors Of Tomorrow, either from the first weapon in the Omega
Ruins or from the Battle Arena by capturing enemies. Then, gain the ability
Overdrive ->AP. Return to the Battle Arena and choose the character who has
the weapon with that skill. It is best to have three characters with it for
easier levels and to save time. Set the character's Overdrive mode to
"Comrade" then choose to fight a King Cactaur. Note: You must have
captured all the enemies from the Thunder Plains in order to unlock King
Cactaur. In the battle the King Cactaur will use either 10,000 Needles or 99,999
Needles (better). Keep using Phoenix Downs or a Life spell to bring back the
character he kills. He will eventually run away and the battle will end with
your characters sometimes gaining anywhere from 10 to 20 levels depending on how
long the battle lasted and how many times King Cactaur used his attacks.
Information in this section was contributed by Zen
Joutei.
You need to have control of the airship to do this trick and a weapon with
Sensor would be helpful. Find the Omega Ruins with the search. Stay close to the
Save Sphere where start at, and move around until you are attacked. If you are
attacked by a Master Tonberry have Wakka equip his Capture weapon and use the
skill Sleep Buster to put it to sleep. It will sleep for only one turn, so bring
in Tidus and cast Hastaga. If you only do magic attacks and no physical attacks,
it will use its turn to wake up and you just need to put it back to sleep. Keep
casting magic (have Lulu use Demi if she has it) and Sleep Buster. Bring in the
person with the Sensor weapon and when it gets down enough where you can kill
it, use Wakka's Capture weapon to kill and capture it. You will get the 20,000
AP, but now since its caught you and easy to kill, you can go to the Calm Lands.
Go to the Monster Arena and you can fight it again for only 3600, and still get
20,000 AP.
Information in this section was contributed by Ragnark54.
If your characters have the double AP (customize with 20 Megalixers) or
triple AP (customize with 50 Wings to Discovery) then go to Bikanal Island (the
desert) and complete the Cactuar mini-game so the sandstorm will disappear. Go
to where the sandstorm was located and you will encounter either Sand Worms or
Cactuars. Sometimes there will be three Cactuars in a battle so you can get
36m000 AP just for winning that fight. With your Double or Triple AP, you
receive 72,000 or even 108,000 AP. Just have strong attackers with good agility
and accuracy or they will run away or cast 10000 Needles, which can be quite
deadly.
Information in this section was contributed by Larry
Chruscial.
Unlike other Final Fantasy games, the AP earned during battles are not
divided among the people in the party. Try to as many characters as you can
involved to level up faster.

Equip everyone with a weapon that has Double or Triple AP, then go to the
village of Cactaurs. For every Cactaur you overkill you get 12,000 AP without
Double or Triple AP.
Information in this section was contributed by WizziIgni.
Hint: Best place to train:
The best place to train in is the Zanarkand Ruins-Cordor area. This
is because you get the same amount of AP from here as from Omega Ruins even
though they are weak enemies. The monsters at Omega Ruins are more difficult.
Information in this section was contributed by Dnthome.
Hint: Easier Chocobo handling:
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and your Chocobo
will be easier to steer.

Hint: Besaid Island Village: Energy Burst:
Go to the first building on the left. There is a dog inside. Talk to
it to get Valefor's second Overdrive, Energy Burst.
Information in this section was contributed by Daniel
Cooper.
Hint: Bickanel Island: Cactaur games:
Go to Bickanel Island. Go to the farthest screen right before home.
There is a stone similar to the ones in the Thunder Plains. Talk to it and it
will tell you to find a Cactaur and then another. There are ten in all. When you
play their games, try to catch them then use magic on it when you fight it. Do
not hit it with physical attacks -- it will dodge them.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Hint: Besaid Temple: Hidden treasure:
Go to the right and touch the glyph, then go downstairs and get the
Glyph Sphere. Put it in the door at the lower level. After the door opens, go
down the hall to the second slot and touch the wall across form the small altar.
Take the sphere out and put it in the first slot down the hall. After the
section opens. take the Destruction Sphere out and put it in the large room
where you got the Besaid Sphere. A section will blow up. Get the treasure, then
proceed to the Chamber Of Fayth to get the rest of the treasures.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Hint: Chamber Of The Fayth: Items:
After Master Mika "leaves", fly back to every Cloister Of
Trials in the game, and make your way to the Chamber Of The Fayth. Once there,
you will get new intermission sequences and at least four very rare and useful
items in the treasure chests.

Hint: Monster Arena: Keep items:
When fighting in the Monster Arena, even if you die, you still keep
any items you may have stolen.
Information in this section was contributed by dbclark.
Hint: Monster Arena: Easy Gil:
Have an attack that does at least 50,000 damage. Quick Hit is
recommended. Release One-eye in special contest by capturing at least four of
each species of One-eyes in all Spira. You can get between 300,000 and 1,000,000
gil by defeating One-eye. Also, sell the items he drops (such as those with
Triple AP Auto-ability), to get more.

Hint: Bickanel Island: Cactaur games:
Go to the farthest screen right before home. There is a stone similar
to the ones in the Thunder Plains. Talk to it and it will tell you to find a
Cactaur and then another. There are ten in all. When you play their games, try
to catch them then use magic on it when you fight it. Do not hit it with
physical attacks -- it will dodge them.

Hint: Calm Lands: Easy AP:
In order to do the following trick, you must have the airship, all of
the Thunder Plain monsters, the Overdrive=AP ability on your weapons, a lot of
Phoenix Downs, the overdrive mode on "Stoic" or "Comrade"
(or you will not get the experience), and Auto-Phoenix (recommended). Go to Calm
Lands and make sure you have your Overdrive=AP weapons on. Go over to the arena,
and play against Cactuar King (in Zone Conquer). When the battle starts,
immediately cast Hastega on your party. Cactuar should make his first attack. If
not, have the character use a move that will hit Cactuar King, and that
character is set for the battle. If Cactuar King attacked, use a Pheonix Down on
whoever died, then attack. Watch your timing -- If he has a turn immediately
after yours, fix anything you have to, but do not attack. This will make this
match very difficult, because he will kill two characters. Make sure your Limit
setting is either on Stoic, or Comrade, so his 100,000 damage translates into
that much AP. Assuming that you hit him with all the characters you want to gain
levels, continue to do a Phoenix Down, Guard, Phoenix Down, Guard, and after you
have had enough, you can run, you can kill him, or he will run. You should have
at least 100,000 AP after the battle. After the battle, buy more Phoenix Downs,
save, use levels, and then do it again.

Hint: Djose Temple: Hidden treasure:
Solve the bottom floor as normal, then before going to the next
floor, go left and touch the glyph there to take the Destruction Sphere. Take it
to the next floor and put it in the small column directly in front of you. A
section will blow up. Take the treasure, solve the rest of the puzzle, then go
upstairs to get the rest of the three treasures.
Information in this section was contributed by FinalFlashX.
Hint: Kilika Temple: Hidden treasure:
Solve the entire puzzle including the last door, but do not go to the
Chamber Of Fayth yet. Get the Destruction Sphere and put it in the second
(movable) altar. Step on the shiny spot on the floor on the right side, then
move the altar on top of it. A section will blow up. Take the treasure, proceed
to the Chamber Of Fayth, and get the rest of the treasures.

Hint: Luca: Win first Blitzball game:
Use the following tactic to defeat the Luca Goers on the first
attempt. First, it is absolutely essential that Tidus complete the Jecht Shot
Challenge offered on the boat ride from Kilika to Luca. This will give him the
infamous Jecth Shot, which is the most reliable way to beat the Luca Goners
tough defense. As the match begins, place Tidus in the front and place the other
players at the location of your choice. During the first half, Tidus will be
unable to use techs as his level is too low (and the game gives no chance to set
techs). Focus on keeping the ball away from the Goers. Make long passes in the
Auroch's territory to burn the clock, and be sure to have Tidus get plenty of
time on the ball passing and dribbling. Avoid shooting because the Goers will
have a good chance to score if they get the ball. At half time, if Tidus has
done enough ballhandling he will obtain level 3. This allows him to set the
Jecth Shot in his tech slot. As the second half starts, hopefully you will have
held the score to 0-0 by passing between defenders. Have Tidus break toward the
Luca goal with the ball. Swim him as close as possible (using manual mode,
watching the overhead map, and not the actual players). If there are two or less
defenders on him, break out the Jecht Shot and the Luca Goers will be powerless
to stop it. Keep in mind you will only have the first three minutes of the
second half before Wakka is substituted back in. If you are finding it difficult
to get Tidus to the goal with two or less defenders (he must shoot from almost
point-blank range due to his low level), simply have a defender swim toward the
Luca side and then swim away toward the Aurochs territory to lure Luca's
aggressive players away from their goal. Then, pass and attack. With these
techniques you should be able to bring home the big blue trophy (which you will
see Wakka carrying as he bids farewell to the Aurochs after the game)/ For your
efforts you will be rewarded with a Strength Sphere, which will make the
upcoming battles considerably easier. The post-game reaction from Luca residents
will be different as well, after Tidus and crew upset their home team.

Brandt.
Hint: Luca: Another Jecht Shot chance:
If you missed the Jecht Shot the first time, after you have defeated
Yuunalesca and have the airship, go to Luca. Take the regular ship that is in
port. Once on it, go to the forward deck and there will be a Blitz Ball there.
Walk up to it and press X. Note: You can also get the Wizard Ball on the
ship by counting the sea gulls (11 of them) and talking to the man on the upper
deck that is sitting down.

Hint: Macalania Woods: Celestial Mirror:
After obtaining the Cloudy Mirror in the Calm Lands, get on the
Airship and go to the Macalania Woods. Go straight until you see a mother and
son. Speak to them to find out that the father is late. Go to the fork (where
the guards are patrolling). Take the north fork and you will see the father.
Speak with him, and he will run over to the rendezvous point. Go back and speak
to the couple, now without a son, until they mention the son being gone. Look
around for a sparkling path and go up. Locate the north end of it (where a women
was blocking it) and go to the plant at the end. Press X to examine it,
and it will charge the Cloudy Mirror into its final form, the Celestial Mirror.
The mirror is needed to get the Ultimate Weapons.

Hint: Macalania woods: Double Overdrive for final
weapons:
Go to the tree where you found the child of the missing couple in the
Macalania woods. After you have obtained a couple Ultimate Weapons, go to that
tree and press Action to upgrade final weapons.

Hint: Macalania Temple: Easy experience:
Note: This trick requires a controller with an auto-fire feature.
When leaving the Macalania Temple, you are chased out by a certain group. Set
your cursor in the game configuration to "Memory". Place Yuna in your
party and set her up on "Pray". Bring in at least one heavy hitter and
set him on "Attack". Choose the third member of the group by simply
selecting a person you would like to also level up. After selecting your
character's movements (avoid attacks with MP Cost and do not use Item), set your
controller to fire the X repeatedly. The angry group will continue
attacking while the party gains experience. Your characters may not be strong
enough on your first pass through the temple, but it can be reached again once
you gain the airship, or reached on foot once on the Calm Lands.

Hint: Macalania Temple Hidden treasure:
Solve the entire puzzle (three slabs of ice) then recognize the three
floors. The first floor is the one with the three big ice slabs and the shiny
object; the second is the big floor with the three poles; and last is the small
floor. Step on the shiny object on the second floor, which should bring an altar
to your right. Take the Macalania Sphere and place it in the slot that makes a
ramp. Then, go to the last floor and take the Glyph Sphere. Bring it to the
altar on the second floor and put it in. Go to the first floor and step on the
shiny object there, which will make the altar appear to the left of the screen.
Push it and watch. Get the pink Destruction Sphere and go down to the last
floor. Insert the sphere in the slot you have not used and a treasure box will
appear. Get the treasure and go to the second floor. At the three big altars,
take out the Macalania Sphere from the one to the left. Put it in the slot to
the far right to make a big ice thing appear. Push the moving altar to the
right, then take the Macalania Sphere from the slot to the far right and put it
in the moving altar. Push it so it goes to the last floor. At the last floor,
push the altar right again to activate an ice slab. Then on the second floor,
take the Macalania Sphere and put it in the left large altar. Then, go to the
Chamber Of Fayth and take the treasures located there.

Hint: Mt. Gagazet: Get a lot of Kimahri's skills:
When you are fighting Biran and Yenke on Mt. Gagazet, just keep using
Lancet on them until there is no more to steal. Kimahri will have a lot more
skills than before.

Hint: Omega Ruins Easy AP:
Find Omega Weapon (this can also be done with Ultima Weapon). Have
Rikku Mug from him and you will get 10 Doorway Tomorrows. Do not waste these --
they can give your weapon Overdrive > AP, which gives you AP every time your
Overdrive meter fills, then set the Overdrive of the owner of the weapon to
ally, which will charge the Overdrive meter. Next, go to the Cavern Of The
Stolen Fayth and fight a Pot. The Pot will not do anything until you attack it.
Put the owner of the weapon with the Overdrive > AP ability in your party.
Keep Triangle held for at least half an hour (use a rubber band), then
flee. The person will get one Sphere level up. This works best with Lulu and her
weapon Space Master, which has the ability Triple Overdrive.

Hint: Omega Ruins: Easy gil:
Get Rikku's Legendary Weapon and use the specified crest and sigil to
power it up fully. It will then receive the Gillionare ability. Go to the Omega
Ruins and find and a Zaurus and treasure chest to fight. Steal from the treasure
chest with Rikku. Do not Mug it, as this will kill it. Assuming that the
treasure chest has nothing in it, it will turn out as a Mimic. Defeat the Mimics
to get 100,000+ gil each time.

Hint: Remiem Temple: Cloudy Mirror:
Fly in the airship (obtained immediately after you finish the
Zanarkand Ruins) to the Calm lands. Go to the Chocobo rider standing still
directly out of the Al Bhed location where the Airship dropped you off. Take the
Chocobo to the southern entrance and go east to where you see a Chocobo feather.
Press X over it and the Chocobo will jump down. Go into the entrance that
you see. You will see a huge temple and bridge leading to it. Go across the
bridge and move to the left side, not through the door. Examine the sphere you
see and then go to the opposite side. Press X near the Chocobo and race
it. Win this race and get the Cloudy Mirror (which is the Celestial Mirror's
first form).

Crowley and darkness.
Hint: Remiem Temple: Entering
Ask the Chocobo girl to ride a Chocobo. Ride it all the way down were
you usually start out races with her. Go all the way to the end to find what
resembles a yellow Chocobo feather. Press X on the feather and the
Chocobo will back up, jump off the ledge, and land on a new section of land. Go
to the exit of that section of land. The next screen will show the Remeim
Temple.

Hint: Spira: Chocobo Feathers:
Around Spira, in the locations when you can ride a Chocobo, there are
Chocobo Feathers on the ground. These feathers are easily spotted due to their
semi-open location and out-of-place color.

Hint: Thunder Plains: Items:

you will be rewarded with items. Additionally, if you get struck by lightning 30

To dodge 200 lightning bolts easily, use the airship to get to the Thunder
Plains, and go to the northern part. Dodge enough lightning bolts consecutively
to make the chest appear but do not open it yet. The amount of times needed to
dodge for the chest to appear will be different for almost everyone attempting
this trick. Stay close to the exit so that you can leave quickly before
lightning strikes again. After dodging, go back past the treasure chest and
enter the southern part, then immediately leave and go back up past the chest to
the northern part and get hit twice by lightning. Go back to the chest and open
it. It should say that you dodged 200 consecutive lightning bolts or more. Make
sure to stay close to the exit when dodging or getting hit by lightning so that
you can leave immediately before lightning strikes again.

Hint: Thunder Plains: Kimahri's legendary weapon:
Activate three of the Qactuar stones. Stand at any stone that seems
to be glowing and press Square to see the spirit of a Qactuar released.
After activating three stones, find the Qactuar ghost flying in the south part
of the thunder plains. He is slightly transparent, so look very carefully.
Follow it to a small ruined lightning tower on the right side of the screen and
press Square. A treasure chest should appear, containing his legendary
weapon.

Hint: Zanarkand Dome: Hidden treasure:
When you go to Zanarkand Dome for the second time, there will be a
hidden treasure. Activate all of the four-space cubes and the screen will open.
Take the Destruction Sphere and put it in the right slot, which will open the
other screen. Take the treasure then get Anima.
