Patrol Narrative:
Special Mission Orders carried out. No damage
received, much inflicted. Used repeated hit and run
attacks on merchant vessels anchored or run aground
near shorelines as much as possible to avoid escorts
spotting FINBACK. Photo recons spotted one CV and one
CL anchored at Port of Kota Kinabalu. Did not attack
these since no special provision provided in mission
orders to ignore ROE.
Oct 03,1943, all torpedos expended headed back to
base.
