Speed up your Modem buffering
Speed up modem data buffering! You only need to use this tweak if you have a dial up modem! Description: Speed up the buffering of data in your modem. This enables your modem to perform faster. Speed up your modem's data buffering! 1. Double click on the 'My Computer' icon 2. Double click on the 'Control Panel' icon 3. Double click on the 'Modems' icon 4. The 'Modem properties' window will now appear, make sure the 'General' tab is pressed and click 'Properties' 5. A new window will now appear, click on the 'Connection' tab and click the 'Advanced' Button. 6. A New window will now appear, UNCHECK both 'Use error control' and 'Use flow control'. 7. Click O.K. 8. Click on 'Port settings..' 9. A new window will appear, set 'Receive buffer' and 'Transmit buffer' on the highest settings they will go. 10. Click O.K. Please Note: If you get connectivity problems after carrying out step 9, please reset the port settings back to default.
