smart to your teachers? Just wanna be lazier? (No, that's not the right
word... Um... heh, got no other way to put it.) Then learn these keyboard
shortcuts!
Here are a few I've can
remember from the top of my head:
General Shortcuts:
CTRL+C= Copy
CTRL+A= Select All
CTRL+V= Paste
CTRL+Z= Undo
CTRL+S= Save current document/website
(When you've selected something) DELETE= Delete
(When you've selected a folder/file) SHIFT+DELETE= Deletes file without sending it to the Recycle Bin.
(While dragging a folder/file) CTRL= Copies the selected item to the new place.
(When you've selected a file/folder) F2= Rename
SHIFT= Select more than one file/folder with mouse OR select text within document with arrow keys.
F3= Search for a file/folder
ALT+ENTER= View the properties of the selected folder(s)/file(s)
ALT+F4= Close the active window
ALT+TAB= My favorite shortcut of them all! This one cycles throught every window you have by repeatedly pressing the TAB button while holding the ALT button!
ALT+ESC= Cycle through windows in the order they were opened
F5= Refresh the active window
BACKSPACE= Go back once in Windows Explorer or your browser (only works when there's no typing action in the windows)
ESC= Cancels the current task
(When you insert a CD into the CD-ROM drive) SHIFT= Prevents CD from autoplaying
Microsoft "Natural" Keyboard Shortcuts:
Windows Logo= Show or hide the start menu
Windows Logo+BREAK= Open the system properties window (easier than right-clicking on My Computer and clicking Properties!)
