Greetings!!!
It
appears things are winding down and coming to point of completion... but don't
be deceived - there is still MUCH that needs to be done before we can begin
broadcasting.... but more about that later. For now, I'm sending along
some messages received by the Hulse's this week. They are excited about
coming home and you can "hear" it in their email.
First
is a note from Connie with details of the trip home and a prayer request for
her son and his family.
Next
is another note from Connie - I think Jim must be busy packing because I
haven't heard from him. This one gives us a picture of the dairy.
Some of you who have been over there......Did you know there is another floor
at the top??? Connie got up there and even sent me a picture of it.
It's pretty messy but I suppose with a little work it could be what Connie
describes in her note.
After
hearing from her, I wrote her a quick note asking for more details about the
cost of the trip home. In her next short note she answers that as well as
a few other items. At that point they were told they were going to have
to pay about $300 per person ADDITIONAL just to get home. That has
changed since then which you will see in her last note.
On
Sunday Connie sent pictures of the presses printing pictures of Tom's
drawings. These drawings are being sold 4 to a package with all the
profit going to the Estonia tower project. None of this has been
formalized yet but as soon as I get more information, I'll sure send it
along. If you're interested in buying a set, let me know. duh... I
don't think there is even a price on them yet - just make a donation of a few
thousand dollars or more and I promise we'll send you a set of pictures - ha ha
ha ha. (gee - I'm starting to sound like a tel-evangelist!!!!)
Seriously,
as soon as I know more about the pictures, I'll pass the info along. In
the mean time, if you're interested, let me know.
I
have heard from many of you asking how Woody is doing so I wrote Rosie a note
asking her to please let us know. He's doing well and we
REALLY praise God for this.
Finally,
in the last note I have received from the Hulse's, Connie forwarded me copies
of email between her and the travel agent. I got it LATE last night and
couldn't hardly sleep after reading it. If it hadn't been so late she
would have been able to hear me shoutin' for joy all the way over
there!!! The price on the tickets was cut in half!!!! PRAISE
GOD!!! By now, they are on their way home. As soon as I hear from
them, I'll pass it on of course.
For
those who have inquired..... the web address for Estonia Christian Radio
Project is www.geocities.com/computerbasicsmodesto/Estonia/2000Title.html
I
know this is a looonnnnnggggg update and I apologize. So many of you have
been so patient with me - never complaining about the length of the
updates. If I weren't doing this for the Lord, I would promise not to
EVER do it again.... but alas - it is for God's glory. He instructed in
Isaiah 30 to "write it on a tablet for them, inscribe it on a scroll, that
for the days to come it may be an everlasting witness" and also in
Deuteronomy 11 He said of the commandments to "Teach them to your
children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the
road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes
of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your
children may be many in the land that the LORD swore to give your forefathers,
as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth."
I
suppose because of verses like these my Mother always taught me to WRITE DOWN
the things that I see God do in my life and in others. KEEP A RECORD she
would say - so that I can show it to my children, and they in turn can
tell their kids and so on so that we can encourage one another and REMEMBER
what God has done for us. So here is our record. I can't promise I
won't ever do this again because frankly, some time, some where, God will allow
someone to read these and it will change their life. TRULY, He is
glorified in these updates.
And
so I continue.
That
was the SUMMARY.

~~Note
from Connie
Praise The Lord........... We now have reservations to go home. Leaving Tallinn at 7:05 A.M.
Thursday the 19th of October. Arriving Chicago Thursday 12:05 P.M. Looks
like only 5 hours of travel, sounds good to me..........oh yeah we are gaining
7 hours and I forgot we need to be there 1 hour early, 3 hours to get to
Tallinn, 3 hours by bus from Chicago to South Bend and then another hour or so
to get to our house........ ....... ........ hmmmmmmmmm guess it will be a
little longer. Believe it or not I feel like I am ready......... I am sad
to leave but anxious to get reacquainted with my Grandson. He turned 1 year old
on the 1st of October and between this trip and the one we were on when he was
born I have been gone more than half of his life. I ask for prayer
that my son will grow-up and his heart soften, that his girlfriend
will not have to sneak the baby out for me to see. I am being punished by
my son......he thinks I was to hard on him. I made him accountable
and would not cover for things he did wrong so he keeps my 1st and only
grandchild away from me. I did what I knew was right in the eye's
of the Lord.... "And the truth shall set you free" ....in this
case meant a 30 day "jail", "accountability", "tough
Love" sentence for my son the summer of 99. My fault the way he
looks at it. My response to him "you do the crime, you pay the
time." not what he wanted to hear. So needless to say life
when your serving the Lord is not as people would like to think, Satan works
harder to discourage you.

Room
for many more..............
All
summer long I have envisioned what was upstairs from the back of the dairy we
can se a set of windows that looks like there is another room up
there............maybe a lookout area......, the only way up stairs seemed
to be a hole cut into the ceiling next to our bedroom. I mentioned to Tiit we
would like to see. I am not sure if he understood but many times I think
he understands good just can not reply in English. Anyhow I got the
impression it was ok.... After weeks of Tom forgetting the ladder we
needed to get up to the next floor. I reminded him we will be leaving
soon so he finally brought home a ladder. His way to remember to bring the
ladder home is cute..........he took one of the pincher type clothed pins
and pinched it to his shirt pocket. Clever way for a man to
remember. I guess he couldn't find a string. We were
amazed.........15 or so more tuba's (rooms) at least 6 more bathrooms........... 6
more bedrooms.......a area for a kitchen, dinning area, office, Corey's room,
Cayla's room, room for Boo, a bedroom for us, a good size storage
area..............my mind was already envisioning what the place could look
like. I thought we could live upstairs, Tiit could use this 4 floor for
other guests, I could cook for them, Jim could work on getting heat to
allllllllllllllll the rooms and we could live happily ever
after. oh yeah that's right were going home..................but it
could be quite a place. The worst part would be carrying the groceries up
another flight and then the ladder would make it kind of hard to get the fridge
and stove up.

Hi
Lynda,
To
answer your questions..........We have to pay a additional $300.00 per person
times 5 or $1,500.00 more than we think is fair and
after we get home, with the hamster safe in my pocket.......... you can
bet they will be hearing from me..... They messed up our 1st set of tickets
here.......that is why Jim and Christopher came 10 days before the 3 of
us. They lost our cooler with several hundred dollars of lunch meat and
meat in. Also 2 large supper supreme pizza hut pizza's Corey bought to share
with his dad........made Corey pretty angry. We still have not heard one
thing from them about reimbursing us for any of that. Right now I don't
want to rock the boat as they said we need to put the hamster in with the pets
down by the luggage. It wouldn't be so bad but after I told Cayla she
could bring it we find out it would cost $150.00 US dollars to do that. So
after talking with the person in New York who rebooked our tickets I decided to
keep "Diamond" in my pocket till the plane takes off, and then
quietly put it in its carry-on cage under the seat. What a mother won't
do for a child sometimes. Jim said He wasn't missing his connecting flight if
they haul me off to jail over a dumb hamster. Cayla told him it
was not dumb, it was just a baby. And after Cayla's tears I think he
would change his mind..... :)
Yes
Tom is staying longer, we are working on bringing him back to America VIA
Chicago with a week stay in Indiana.
All
for now

Sunday
Praise
the Lord................here are the
pictures
of Tom's pictures of the dairy being printed.............sounds like I don't
now what I am talking about. But what you see is the 1st one coming off
the press.......He has traveled half way around the world to see his dream come
true........ I have worked for hours trying to get them off the
floppy..................They would not be read by our computer or any other for
that matter. The new camera has been NOTHING,
NOTHING, NOTHING but trouble............we
have lost soooooooooooooooo many pictures as it will not function
properly. I am so thankful and I know Tom will be too that I finally got
them copied into a file.
Paavo
does not have enough money for the shipping of the container and our tickets
both..........the container has to be shipped before we can leave....it is
leaving Kavastu Tuesday AM and sailing Wednesday. Jim must go to customs with it on Tuesday. I am so
sorry for all the trouble and extra money we have caused with staying past our
90 days.
God
Bless
Connie

Woody
Update
Dear Lynda:
Woody is doing
great!!! He has been going to the doctor once a week for his blood test
(pro time) and this morning the doctor said it's right where he wants it, so
he'll see him next week, then probably once a month. God has been so good
to us!! Woody seems to have a full recovery. So far he works just
as if he was never sick. We'll see after he gets a chance to go deer
hunting (maybe the coming weekend). He may have lost a little lung
capacity, but he is still physically fit. Praise God!! His leg is
swelling very little now and no soreness. All's well that ends well,
right?
Thanks to all who prayed for him
and for me while we were there in Estonia. It's been a real test of our
faith and God came through again. We felt the prayers. I was not
afraid to make the trip alone, since God prepared me in
July. He had peace about going to the hospital and being there
in the mean time, so prayer really works.
Now, let's all praise God
for Woody's healing and pray for the radio station. Pray that the money
will come in to finish it and pay off all the debts. Pray
that Tartu will become a beacon of light for God. Pray that we will
be able to raise the money to run the new station!!! Prayer works!!
Yours in Christ,
Rosie

we now have conformation about tickets..........see following

Subject: extra charges
Good Morning Rimas,
We would like to ask if there is any way possible
to have some if not all of the penalty charges of our tickets
changed? We were delayed for a extended length of time for several
reasons. One being we had some of our main equipment stolen and had to
have it re-ordered and shipped from America. Also we experienced record
amount days of rain and could not work as we had planned.
We are missionaries and every penny spent is money
we must raise. We would appreciate what help you can give us.
We were recently on Estonia's national TV
program.....Like America's 60 minutes last week. This week a Radio
station from Finland was here to interview us for their programs. We are
tomorrow to be interviewed for a local station. People here see the need,
see the effect we have on what we are doing. I pray SAS will see too the
importance of what we do and forgive these penalties.
Thank you, and God Bless
Connie J. Hulse
OK Connie:
I spoke with SAS and all you have to do
is pay $150.00 per person. Your confirmation number YS72P. Your
reservation is documented by Jeanette at SAS district sales office in New
York. You depart Tallinn Oct 19 on SAS Flt # 8701 at 705am. You will
arrive Chicago Oct 19 on SAS Flt # 945 at 12:05p. just bring the ticket to
the nearest SAS Sales office to be changed. Have a great trip
Regards
Rimas
Larry said he was sending money..... I am so
glad we could get half of the penalties dropped.
We also pray the Lord can send more people to
help us support our ministry, people like you who can "Catch the
vision" That is our theme.
Again thank you for your help, and
friendship. We will be keeping people updated after a day or 2 when we
get home...........
In Christ's love
