Greetings!!
Well
- The Hulse's are ready to come home and in fact, have booked a flight!!
I have deliberately left them off this mailing (they have always been on the
list and received copies in the past) but I wanted to appeal to everyone to
help me appreciate them.
Most
of you don't know many of the people mentioned in these updates. I know
some of you do, but believe it or not, there are probably as many people
getting these updates that don't know a single person mentioned as there are
people who do. (did that make sense??) The point is - to most of
you, these updates are about strangers and you have gotten to know them just
through the email you get from me. I say that because I don't want anyone
to think they aren't a part of this since they "don't know any of those
people". Well, the truth is, they don't know you either but you have
been a part of what is going on over there with your prayers!!!
What
I want to do is send the Hulse's an email with as many notes from YOU as
possible. Not long notes, just a quick note of encouragement to
them. It will be difficult to leave in many ways I'm sure - let's make it
a little easier by just loving them.
If
you want to include pictures, fine. But PLEASE, send me a small note - in
the subject line just put Estonia or ECRP so I can quickly sort them out and
make sure they get included. I will be sending the note on the 17th -
that's Wednesday!!! SO HURRY!! won't you please just take a minute right
now, hit reply on this note and just tell the Hulse's thanks for being where
God planted them. OK - enough pleading.
Also,
there have been those of you who have offered to help pay for the Hulse's to
come home. If you are willing and able, that would be great!!
Whether there is enough money contributed or not, the tickets will be bought
(have been is more like it) and the expense is REAL. We can't just leave
them over there, after all. :-) Any contribution is of course, tax
deductible and most of all, blessed by God! Since some of you have asked,
here is the info - Checks should be made payable to Estonia Christian Radio
Project and mailed to P.O. Box 1555, Riverbank, CA 95367.
Well
I think that's all from me. No summary on today's update from Jim
Hulse. Enjoy

Hello
Church Family and Friends
As
the saying goes "All good things must come to a end". Our time
here has been very good. Good for them and good for us. Good we
have been able to once again experience a closer walk with the Lord. We
have had to trust Him more than we do when we are in the comfort of
"America". Good for them to see what it is like to spend time
with people who have Jesus in their hearts. But the time has come to pack
up and return to America, the land we will once again call home, for how long
we do not know, we have no idea where the Lord will call us next-----or when
for that matter. We will leave here with them part of our hearts. Yet we can
rejoice with the time and opportunity we have had to share our love with them,
love the Lord has given us so freely if we choose to except it. I
had been very sad to think I could not share as much as I wanted to
because of the language problems, I doubted why God would bring so many new
friends into our lives and hearts and not to be able to share about Jesus dying
on the cross for all who will except him as there personal Savior. I
should learn more to trust God in all things, but my human side crowds
those thoughts. Yet what little I could share with these people was just
a small piece of what God had in mind.
Last
week Tuesday a TV station from Tallinn called us and wanted to do a story, we
agreed on a meeting Friday afternoon. I asked the man who called what exactly
were they doing the story for. He said it was a public interest
story. He was impressed about what he had heard about us. So
our minds were thinking about the new tower here We figured it would be a 1
minute news clip. WERE WE WRONG. They showed up
with 6 people including a full camera crew. It turned out to be for there
main primetime most watched TV program in the nation. The
man who interviewed us said it was like 60 minutes in America.
Then we find out from them their reason for doing the interview was they had
heard about our projects of building radio stations, not only here in Estonia
but in other parts of the world. They thought that what we were doing was
a real ministry, a real commitment and it would make a great human interest
story.
So
Wednesday evening we were the first story on the #1 watched program in the
nation on prime time TV.
Praise the Lord
They
opened the program by saying we all want the world to be a better place and our
heroes tonight want to make it a better place. We never thought of ourselves as
"hero's" We feel we are a just a few of God's children who will help
to go out and preach the gospel to all nations. "Thanks to all who
believe in what we are doing, for your prayers and financial support, we
couldn't do this without you."
They
showed parts of the interview exactly as we presented it. They let us tell
about the radio stations we have helped build here and other parts of the
world. They let us tell about our beliefs, and about Jesus. They wanted
to know why we would give up a multi million dollar a year business to do
this. We told them the only reason we have done this is
because we feel more people need the opportunity to hear about Jesus, we want
them to have the chance to see God's love. They said that Towers For
Jesus was a good way to reach people.
How
over 500 million people will have the chance to listen to the new AM radio
station being built in Kavastu. Also a person needs to see for themselves
the big, mighty mast (tower) is that was now standing.
The
commentator said that the Pareraadio stations are the most listened to radio
stations in their country and they have the most towers, and show the most
growth, how people like the Christian stations here.
Some
of the questions they wanted most to understand were, where does
all the money come from that funds these projects?. Why would so many people
want to help? They were impressed that most came from donations, from like
believers. From people in America who care, and want others to know about God.
A
fellow believer who has been here with us all but 3 weeks in August, (Tom) was
also in the pictures several times, he is the one who went up a couple hundred
feet with the camera, and the interviewer. Also Cayla, was shown drawing
at the kitchen table with Tom, and Rinna. They had some shots of the studio in
Tartu, and also the upstairs and outside of the dairy here too.
Only
God could have arranged this interview on national TV. Why did I
ever doubt that the people I have grown to love here would not
understand about God from us. This program did more in 10 minutes than we
have done in 3 + months, but God's perfect plan was for us to ready there
hearts. To gather the people, "He" would do the
rest.
Yes
we did video the program but it suffers from the European TV blues. Lines float
through the picture but the audio is good if you can understand it. Rinna
interpreted it for us when we watched the tape we recorded. We
are so very thankful to be able to witness to a whole nation. Thank you Lord,
Thank you. Aita
Hope
to see you all on October 22, in Church............a place where we will hear
the Gospel preached...........................IN
ENGLISH
AMEN
In
his service

That's

haven't already visited the web site, go see it. We'll be posting more
