The
last update you got (#20) had Wednesday's and Thursday's updates from Jim
Hulse. Today I'm sending Connie's version of Wednesday. I'm sure it
is QUITE different from what Jim wrote (look back and see - it's actually funny
how different they saw the day.) It's also a nice reminder that our
Father in Heaven is not waiting on the Radio Tower to be finished before He
brings many many opportunities to share His love. Thanks Connie, for
being one of the light houses that is shining NOW in Estonia.

Wednesday Sept 27 Update from Connie
Subject: my turn
Today Tiit stopped in about 9:30, I was still in bed as I was still
sending out emails about our mission banquet after 4am. He informed Riina
that at 11:00 am 30+ people would be coming here for a light lunch. Bless
her heart she gave me a extra half hour more of sleep. I took one look
around and said NO WAY........... was this place going to be ready
for lunch for 30+. Started in the dining room open up cabinet and started
piling all homeschooling books for 3 kids, mending stacked on top the sewing
machine followed, computer desk was just like I left it a few hours
ago......Disc piled all over. Found room in one of the computer cases. Oh
yeah, all the laundry I was doing in between the e-mails was still sitting on
one of the dining room tables.......all folded and all in neat little piles but
nothing I wanted 30 more people to have to dine with. Piled it all into
laundry baskets and added it to the rest of things in Corey's room.
Next came the boys rooms. I remember telling them to keep there rooms
picked up for times just like this as this was not the 1st time this has
happened. After several minutes of contemplating decided to lock there doors
instead. Next I headed for Cayla's room. Where did she put all the
clothes for her dollies? Guess it is easier to hide the naked dolls
under the bed. Why is it so easy to take off the baby doll clothes than
put them on? Took down most of her art work on EVERY door on the 4th
floor. I headed for our room to find clothes for me. Took one look
at our unmade bed and thought that would be the easy way out. Jumped in
the shower..............darn still no hot water. Cold is better to get
the circulation going anyhow. Found sweatshirt and pants and was out the
door in 5 minutes. WOW only 10:45
15 minutes to spare. Told Corey to go to the site and have the men hit Mc
Donald's for lunch as 30 would be here. Jim came home to see what he could
do to help. My response..............GO BACK TO
WORK Riina and I have it all under control. And TIIT
BETTER GIVE US MORE WARNING NEXT TIME.
Now for all of those who know me and also those of you who don't
know I am a perfectionist. Steve was taking pictures of the dining room
the other day, I said let me straightened it up 1st. Of course he could
see nothing wrong with it. (Typical man) I hadn't had time to walk
behind the men yet to push in there chairs and straighten up the books,
magazines etc. Riina thinks I'm a little strange............my reasoning
of having the place all picked up and everything in it's place before I leave
to go away is.......... IF SOMEONE BREAKS IN TO ROB US.........I DON'T WANT
THEM TO THINK WE ARE SLOBS. Well 30 came and went and no one even noticed
I forgot to put socks and shoes on. And Jim thinks he had a good
day. Spent the afternoon on the computer copying digital pictures we have
taken so far. Phil was nice enough to bring floppies for us so we
could back-up all our photo's incase this computer crashes like mine did.
And so it was a day at the dairy in Kavastu.
God Bless
Love your sister in Christ

Friday Sept 29 Update from Jim and Connie (2 letters)
Hi
Lynda,
Please
let everyone know that on Thursday's update wherever Jim talks about Steve
doing the work he spelt the name wrong........It should be
spelt PHILIP
seems like Jim mixed up his help. Old age does that you know :)
:) Bless his heart he has worked all but 4 days since arriving in
June. Sundays here is not always a work day but there is no security
during the day so he does that too.
I
have yet had time to think about getting 1 picture up on the web. But I
can cook and clean and do laundry in my sleep.................I can't imagine
how many strange pair of socks and underwear I have done. I feel it is my
ministry to keep everyone in clean clothes.

When
we arrived at the site and in the process of unlocking the container Phil said
what is that noise?
Kind
of a low hum. It was coming from the tower and we looked up and saw the bright
sun gleaming off the tower and guy wires. It looked like ice had formed above
300 feet and the wind was blowing hard enough to make the sound we were
hearing.
Worked
on soldering the grounds to the outer fence anchors.
Tom
toured Estonia looking for fence line posts. We are 9 short. He has been gone
forever and two days and finally came back to the site. The only ones he could
find was some wired metric size and to short. Nothing a welder can't fix. I cut
a bunch of one inch rebar and welded them to the fence posts to extend them to
8 feet. (72 welds) 18 pieces cut to size
Installed
the rest of the fence posts late this afternoon. Poor driveway caught it again.
Scooped up stones to put in the concrete mix. The drive way has been replaced
several times now.
Tom
planted flowers next to the bible.
Jim
prepared the 4" angle iron for the ice bridge to be erected tomorrow. It
was delivered a couple days ago and was all cut by a torch and needed to be
ground and cut to size.
We
are on our second 50 pound box of welding rods.
Paavo
was on site late afternoon.
Aare
has electric at his house now. He is so happy. For us it is no big deal but put
yourself in his place,
if
you can. That home has never ever had electric before.
And
so it was, Friday September 29,2000
Blessings
from
