Greetings!!

I have heard from several of you asking for an update on Woody and thanking me for sending the updates to you. Thanks so much for your encouraging words and mostly for continuing to pray for Woody, his wife Rosie, and of course the entire project. I have a few updates and send them all with this one email. It also came to my attention that I forgot to add the pictures to the last email. I'll send them separately so your computers won't be bogged down with it.

~~ Email from Rosie Hausauer (Remember, they are 9 hours ahead of California time so I think when she wrote this it was almost midnight on Saturday there but close to 3 PM here after flying for about 20 - 24 hours depending on layovers.)

Hi All:
Just thought I would check in. I arrived here in Tartu around noon this am.
It is 11:30 pm now. Had good flights and a very pleasant trip here.
I saw Woody right after I got here. He was glad to see me!!! I spoke with his
doctor and he told me that he has a clot in the artery going to his right lung.
He also has several blood clots in veins in the lungs. He has blood clots in
his right leg and it is swollen and very sore. He is still flat on his back
except to eat. They let him sit up a little while for that. He has not been
out of bed at all since he came to the hospital!! He is running a slight temp.
(About 37.8 C tonight and early this am. Today at noon it was 36.6.) The
hospital is about 3 or 4 blocks from Paavo and Mare, so they have made me very
comfortable in Pille's room. I can see Woody several times a day that way. He
hadn't shaved since he came to the hospital so Paavo took me out to the 'dairy'
and I picked up some of personal things. Came back and shaved him tonight. I
told him he sure looks better, even if it doesn't make him feel any different!!
The doctor also said for Woody not to plan on coming home next Wednesday.
He won't say when at this point, but a few days longer than Wednesday. (Sorry
Pille........keep partying with Oscar and Bear....nobody else!!! He has
unhooked all of the intravenous 'stuff' and just one monitor left on his thumb
to tell oxygen level.. It's 97. He wants Woody to fly Business class, so I think
I will be able to arrange that.
Well must go now and will keep in touch. Please let the rest know as I am
using emails from my brain. It's not much good right now........Love, Rosie

~~ Update from Dr. Carlson

Woody is still in ICU.. Apparently still somewhat short of breath. He is
getting a heart evaluation also. Still no chest pain. Rosie is there and
visiting him and I'm sure feeling much more comfortable being by his side.

Woody is anticoagulated and receiving the top treatment that would be given
in the US. It's a matter of time until the treatment takes effect. The
anticoagulation does not dissolve the clots. The body will do that, but the
anticoagulation keeps new clots that travel from forming. The old clots will
organize and stick to the veins with each passing day and the body will
remove them in about 1-2 months. They are no further risk once they stick to
the veins. He of course has to heal from the amount of lung that has been
damaged by the last clot. That takes time depending on how much was actually
damaged.

Please keep on praying for him. Woody is not out of the woods yet.

God bless all of you for your concern and prayers,

Sincerely,
Jim Carlson

PS You can send e-mails to Woody by sending them to his address at home
which Rose is monitoring, I'm sure, there in Estonia [email protected]

~~ Update on the Building site from Jim Hulse

Beautiful weather, the color is at peak, leaves are falling, frost in the mornings.

Hooked up electric to the container today.

Rewired the austin ring transformer for higher voltage.

Grounded the fence at the transmission line bridge.

Started radial installation in afternoon. Things were going well until we hit a rock the size of Rhode Island. Tractor was just a getting it in 3rd gear when it happened. The plow stopped and the tractor didn't. The driver was plastered against the windshield like a bug.

. The plow needs a trip to the trama center, pronto. Should be repaired and back in service by 10AM tomorrow. 50#'s of steel and a case of welding rods will speed up the healing process.

Got in around 14,000 feet today.

Was a good day indeed.

Rosie and Paavo came to the site this afternoon, Hugs were passed around by all.

And so it was, at the site today

Jim Hulse and crew.

Well, that's all for now. I'll send more as I know more.

BLESSINGS!!!
