POINTS TO CONSIDER
When charging for the development of a web site, the following things
are normally considered:
a) The massiveness and complex nature of the site based on what is
to be put on it (graphics, sound and so on). These add-ons will
determine its size, and the amount of work that will go into its
development.
b) The desired time of completion also affects the cost; this is in
the sense that if one needs it completed sooner than normal (that is any
time earlier than two months), then an express fee would be charged.
This is because it will then mean that other jobs will have to
be temporarily suspended so as to meet your deadline.
Lastly, if you
would also want us to maintain the site for you (which is normally how
it is done), it will attract a token maintenance fee of 10% of the
initial site development fee (any time we carry out the maintenance).
And you will have to choose the site’s maintenance schedule (i.e.
whether it will be monthly, quarterly or bi-annually or annually)
depending on how often you will want to be reviewing the contents of the
site (either by adding or removing certain things from the site).
