 At the Heart of Crystal Brook and the Main Shopping area is Bowman Street, a Show peace of Strong Community Spirit.

 

 


This Historic Plaque is to recognize the Bravery of Arthur Percy Sullivan who was born in Crystal Brook on 27th November 1896.

Historic Sites

 National Trust Building

 One of the first Businesses, a Butcher Shop, built in 1870 by Ethelbert  Hewett.

 The Marcens family purchased the building in 1900 and turned it into a Tea Room

 and Bakery. The Crystal Brook branch of the National Trust saved the premises from

Demolition when it was purchased in July 1976.

 

 History Group Building

 The Crystal Brook District Council was formed in 1882 and 50 years later was

 housed in this building, the opening took place in 1937. The building is now a

 home for the Crystal Brook History Group.
