Paul's Networking Glossary

Eye

Welcome to my Networking Glossary

This glosssary was generated as part of my 'BTEC National Certificate - for IT Practioners [ICT Systems Support]', (Communications Technology module if anyone is interested).
It was decided (
by my tutor) that as a class we should generate our 'Web Pages' without the aid of web building software. I appologise if this site may not have the whistles and bells of other sites.
So with my 'Teach Yourself HTML' book (by Mac Bride - Published by Hodder & Stoughton: ISBN 0-340-71220-1) in one hand and a link to Dave's Site in the other I began to design my first web site.

This site initially was never meant to go on the Web, however after all the effort I have put in it, 'Why Not?'.
Every effort has been made to maintain the accuracy of the web site, however if there are any inconsistancies feel free to email me with any suggestions.

When navigating through this glossray, the layout will stay the same. In the right hand column you can access any related links to websites on similar subjects to your chosen suject.
The center column has a short definition of the word you have chosen, followed by an explanation of this word. If you wish to return to this page click the icon at the top of the page.

The definitions - Most of my definitions have been taken from 'Novell's Dictionary of Networking' (by Kevin Shafer - Published by Novell Press, Inc: ISBN 0-7645-4528-0) a book that has been invaluable to me throughout all my assignments.

To search the glossary use 'Glossary Index' page or the drop down box at the bottom of each page. (this does not work yet, give me a break only been doing this for a few weeks)
