How
to plant flower seeds for summer
Every passing year the only thing that keeps my friend and I motivated is the thought of bright rays of sun shining through the thick, white clouds and the thought of seeing all those summer colors when flowers begin to sprout. Now instead of looking for such things, it is best to have these at home. Flowers are more than just plants; they are a symbol of sympathy and thoughtfulness. They are emergency gifts to help cheer people up in any occasion.
In order to get beautiful flowers and be able to enjoy our summer as much as possible, we plant flower seeds. Weve found out it is best to plant flower seeds a couple of weeks before summer starts. Some materials we have at home but to make sure weve got everything we make a checklist:
A friend is also included in this checklist because its never fun to do anything alone. Spending time with loved ones become the most enjoyable moments in life, there are no worries about anything.
Before starting to plant my friend makes sure its sunny outside. We never plant on a rainy days because the seeds will be washed away and all our hard work will be for nothing. If the sun is shining bright, she comes back inside and dials my phone number. She invites me to come over to her house. Its best if I am in a good mood but if Im not maybe this is her way of cheering me up. She always has all the materials prepared before I arrive at her house.
Every time I go to her house, she has a big smile across her face letting me know that everything will be alright. We go outside and choose a spot to plant the seeds. Of course, we always choose the front yard because its closer to the front door. We think its a great presentation for those who enter or pass by her house. Usually when I go to her house in the summer I look at those flowers and admire how beautiful they look day after day.
After throwing everything on the ground, we get her green hose and connect it to the faucet on the other side of the house. We make sure to spray lightly over the chosen spot. I usually spray the dirt before planting to make our job easier when the dirt is soft. Occasionally my hand slips and I spray my friend. When I spray her she begins to jump around screaming like a lunatic begging for attention. It really doesnt matter to me, as long as we are having fun.
We have never bothered with putting our gardening gloves on before, but its best to do so if you dont want dirt underneath your nails. We have a lot of fun when we get to this part of the process. I know raking dirt doesnt sound like fun at all, but we always make it fun. My friend and I usually love to make fun of each other and it also makes us forget everything else that happened that day. If our conversation is interesting we will spend about an hour on the subject. Most of the people who surround me believe that in order to have good friendships with anyone you need to communicate.
When the dirt is soft enough or when we finished our conversation we immediately stop. We then use a shovel or even a stick to open some holes on the ground. To us it really doesnt matter how deep or how far apart the holes are. In order to get good results we mostly try to make them two inches deep and two inches apart. All bugs dig into the ground for fall and winter, but in the spring they resurface. Throwing bugs at her, especially worms, have the same effect on her as spraying her with water. Most of this gets us attention from all the passing cars, and I must say we love it.
When we are satisfied with the open holes, we begin inserting seeds into the holes. After all the holes are filled, we cover the holes evenly with the palm of our hands. By this time the dirt might be dry again, so we just lightly spray it with water again. Water will help them grow healthy and strong for the long hot summer. Last but not least dont forget to keep an eye on your flower seeds while they grow and never forget to water them or theyll die.
