If you know not what you are doing, I advise against making any other changes in the "Services" window.

| First you need to be the administrator, if you're not, ask your administrator if s/he can perform this task. Click on the "Start" menu and go to "Settings", "Control Panel", then "Administrative Tools", then select "Services". In this new window, scroll down until you locate "Messenger" double-click the service. In this new dialog box, select the "Log On" tab, then in the box near the bottom labeled "HardWare Profile" click on "Profile 1" and click the diable botton. You can now click "Ok" and close the Services window. If you know not what you are doing, I advise against making any other changes in the "Services" window. |
