REPORTS

LOTS of nice fish being taken this year.

A 53" tiger from Lake Namekagon really made my day! Hats off to Ryan Schmidt's Dad for that one.

The WRMA's Rich Delaney had the trip of several lifetimes when he caught SEVERAL WHALES with Canadian guide Marc Thorpe on the Ottawa River. Two fish over 55 inches and another one well over 50" makes that a trip I know I'd NEVER forget. Can't wait to see some pix.

Southeastern Wisconsin continues to impress me and my internet bud, Salty, C&R'd a nice 48.5" musky from a lake there on a Llungen Tail. Nice going Sal & Dale!

It's mid-July. Get that TOPWATER box going full time and burn those bucktails. I'd work the weedtops & edges, current breaks and pads & wood. But then again, some of the guys hunting in the no-man's-land regions have found fish suspended in 30-40 foot basins.

Not fun but this IS that time of year where the classic patterns develop on one lake and not YOURS!!! Put on your thinking cap bud... And get to work. Anyone can catch a musky nowadays haven't you been reading the boards??? If you're not, you must be fishing with me? Image
