Every year at this time I'm here, except this year... Looks like my string of June Busting has come to an end.



Anyone paying attention to Hayward heard the record highs of the opener over the Memorial Day Weekend?? 98* in town for the musky opener is absurd!! Surface water temps at 82* one day on the Chippewa Flowage and upper 70s for normal readings??!!  Global warming is a myth...



Brite Side: Well at least the topwater bite has started!



Action on the Chip sounded mixed with reports of zip from Buzz Blender to Ty Sennett reporting multi-fish days on topwater, Ghosttails and even Undertakers.



Back in Wundertuky, it sounded like fishing was starting to take a pounding from the boaters and the weather was beautiful. 75* and sunny with a slight breeze and low humidity. I'm hoping to hit Shabby this week in the newly recomissioned TK's Tinny.



Reports have been mixed everywhere and the bloom on the Chain was in full, er, bloom not long ago. Bucktails seem to be the key everywhere as usual. Sounds like the Summer Musky Season is upon us! Time for my new Nimmer Polly Wog to hit the water.
