Water temps have gone into the 60s on the Mighty Chip. I've been reading that they've let water out but haven't heard for sure. If reports are accurate, the Chip is back down about 2 feet below full pool. So it's LOW and lower units should be running scared.



Places that caught me by surprise only because people routinely fly over them (but shouldn't) are always to be watched for:



Church Bar - that hump on the east side of Church is deadly. 2 years ago it was a foot below the top. Careful boaters.



Roman's - the mail channel seems safe until you get to the Cedar Swamp heading north from the Winter Dam and then, wow, unexpected stumps, unmarked shallow humps, and... oh yeah, watch those humps at Tiger Cat too!



Anyone flying over Pete's or Cranberry deserves a prop buster. We're all fishing there, drive around.
