However, #worldcup was not the weirdest chatroom on mIRC that I encountered. That honour goes towards the #teenconnection chatroom. In there, there are always these two guys named Bigfoot and Giggley. Now, like most of us, they want to become channel operators so that they can control the chatroom. These two are idiots. Guess what they always say? "Op me cos I'm lame". Such genius people! For ten minutes, I kept pleading with them to stop. No change. I pleaded with the channel op. No change. Just sheer stupidity. So I left. The sad thing about this is that I checked on them again some two hours later to see if they were gone and guess what? They were still there saying the same thing all over and over again. Eventually they become op's as they state in their demands. Damn bastards!
This leds me to a new fact; op's on mIRC are highly slack. The role of a channel operator is to maintain order. They must ban people who spam, spurt out racism, use capital letters all the time (capital letters? wtf?) and so forth. I remember a year ago, I was at my friend Jake's place and I remeber he called someone "stupid" and he got banned. The op's were strict back then. But when I started to use mIRC for myself six months ago (mid 2002) I relised that they were highly slack, except perhaps on the main chatrooms. People were spamming for their lives. People were bagging wogs (Italians, Lebenese, Greeks, Turks, Yugoslavs, etc.). It was madness. I kept saying to the op's to ban them, but they ignored me. Hell, I was once kicked out of a chatroom just by saying that!
Viruses can be spread easily nowadays. That's why chan op's ban anyone in possesion of them (something the op's aren't slack at, thank god!). They are mainly spread by messages with links to fake porn sites. Click on them and WHAMMO! YOU HAVE A VIRUS! However, I was on a main chatroom once, and the op banned me because I allegedly carried a virus, yet I didn't have a virus. Also, they ban people who distrubute viruses only on very rare occasions. The main message: CHANNEL OP'S ARE HYPOCRITES AND THEY SHOULD HANG THEMSELVES!!!!!
Before I start to destroy my computer, I shall end this rant. For good.
