NewBorn Massage Instruction
I have practiced comfort and consolation towards children as long as I can remember.  As a young child once my grandmother saw me stop the bleeding in my younger cousin's foot, by applying pressure, after he gashed it on broken glass. This is something I had done for other children and myself many times. She exclaimed that I had some sort of God given healing gift. I am not sure about that. I think it was just something I had seen on television and imitated. As a preteen I used to care for the children and infants of mothers addicted to drugs free of charge. When I graduated high school my first job was as a Salvation Army camp counselor working with homeless children. I also worked for them as a teen advisor for teen parents and an assistant teacher in their infant toddler program for the children of teen parents.  After college I was the assistant director of children's ministries at Oakland Christian Center, an inner-city ministry with many community outreach programs including a drug and alcohol recovery facility and an on-site transitional housing program for homeless women and children.

Infant Massage is a holistic and natural way to promote infant health, improve parenting skills, deepen bonding, strengthen family bonds, and to create a future generation that is more caring and compassionate. Infant massage incorporates nurturing touch massage, and reflexology in a loving, fun, one-on-one interaction that is nourishment for baby's healthy development of mind, body and spirit. Research shows that infants benefit psycho socially, developmentally, and physiologically with infant massage. Infant massage is easily learned. Infant Massage benefits for baby, parents and society are numerous. For a better understanding of these benefits, I encourage taking a class and reading material related to infant massage research and attachment parenting issues.

Cross cultural studies how that babies who are held, massaged, carried, rocked and breast fed, grow into adults that are less aggressive and violent, and are more compassionate and cooperative

Recent research shows benefits for premature infants, children with asthma, diabetes, and certain skin disorders.
Mothers with post pardum depression have shown improvement after starting infant massage
